Taking Omeprisole and getting leg cramps

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi, I have been prescribed 1 month of Omeprizole 40mg and 1 month at 20mg to deal with acid reflux. I have been taking the higher dose now for 5 days and i am getting a cramp-like pain in my calf muscle on one side. It is most noticeable when sitting or in bed at night. It seems less noticeable when I am moving around. Is this something others have experienced?

Thanks for your reply, i was a bit concerned. I might adjust when I take the meds and see if it helps. Coincidentally it's my left leg too.

Hi, no i haven't and I hope to avoid it if possible. I saw my doctor because I was getting a lot of heartburn pain, so she has proscribed me this 2 month course of medication to give my system time to heal with a view to stopping after that and seeing how it works out. Failing that it will mean further tests, but fingers crossed I will manage it myself.
