Alveofact® [SF-RI 1] clinical trials

A clinical trial of nebulized (fine spray) surfactant (chemical compounds that decrease the surface tension between two liquids) for the treatment of severe COVID-19 and viral pneumonia in adults (COVSurf)

This study is looking into a new way to treat severe viral pneumonia, including COVID-19, using a special lung fluid called surfactant. This fluid helps your lungs work better. We want to see if giving extra surfactant as a fine spray can improve lung function and help people on ventilators.
