Study of the Prevalence of Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency/Niemann Pick AB and B Disease in Patients With Diffuse Interstitial Lung Disease

This study looks for a rare genetic condition called Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD) in people with a common lung problem. By testing blood samples, researchers hope to make it easier to find ASMD earlier, especially since a new treatment is now available.
