MEthotrexate Versus TOcilizumab for Treatment of GIant Cell Arteritis: a Multicenter, Randomized, Controlled Trial

This study compares two treatments, methotrexate and tocilizumab, for Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA). GCA causes inflammation in blood vessels, often affecting older adults. The aim is to find out if methotrexate is as effective as tocilizumab in preventing GCA flare-ups, but potentially with fewer side effects and lower cost.
