Pressure Muscle Index and Threshold of Over-assistance During Pressure Support Ventilation

This study looks at how best to set breathing machines (ventilators) for seriously ill patients. It uses a new measurement, the Pressure Muscle Index (PMI), to make sure patients get the right amount of breathing support, aiming to help them recover faster and come off the ventilator sooner.
