Remote Ischemic Preconditioning and Postoperative Neuronal Injury

This study, called SHIELD, looks at whether a simple arm treatment before surgery can help protect the brain. It's for people having non-heart surgery who might be at risk of brain problems afterward. We're checking a blood test to see if the treatment works.
