A Randomized, Double-blind, Parallel-group, Placebo-controlled, Fixed-dose, Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of SEP-363856 in Acutely Psychotic Patients with Schizophrenia, Followed by an Open-label Extension Phase

This study is looking at a new medicine called SEP-363856 for people who are currently experiencing severe symptoms of schizophrenia. We want to see if it helps reduce these symptoms and if it's safe to use. Some participants will get the new medicine, and others will get a dummy pill.
