Vaginal ultrasound-guided ethanol sclerotherapy clinical trials

Non-inferiority Trial Comparing Vaginal Ultrasound-guided Ethanol Sclerotherapy and Laparoscopic Cystectomy for the Management of Ovarian Endometriomas (E-STEP)

This study compares two treatments for ovarian endometriomas, which are cysts linked to endometriosis. We're looking at ethanol sclerotherapy, a less invasive method, versus traditional surgery (laparoscopic cystectomy). The aim is to see if sclerotherapy is just as good at reducing pain, but better for preserving the ovary and leading to fewer problems.
