A1C Test for Diabetics

I have been getting an a1c test 21 months (3 months intervals)First time 6.5..6.1...6.2..6.1...6.1...7.1..(too many sugar smoothies).now recently 6.4....Is this pre-diabetic range?

    yes its a prediabetic stage as it should be below 5.7...above 5.7 to 6.5 is prediabetic stage

    Yes, that's prediabetic range, and maybe full diabetic range.

    Are you doing anything about it?

    Doesn't have to be a lot - just learn to count carbs, start to limit diet and meals even a little, and get your own blood glucose meter so you can get at least daily readings - before each meal is even better. Just being able to see what's happening, is half the battle!

    Oh, and get more exercise, you'd be amazed at how even a little walk every day can take your numbers down half a point or more!
