Hello,

I recently had a b12 blood test, levels are 167, doctor has advised against treatment, I was diagnosed a few years ago with fibromyalgia, and depression, I also have hypothyroid and osteo arthritis, I am in constant pain, tired, cramps ect, I am now thinking it's all from the b12 defecency, should I get b12 injections privately as my Dr won't treat me or is my levels OK?

Thank you

I think the bigger issue is the depression. Depression not only has an effect on mental health but general body health. The mind is in charge of everything and gives instructions to the entire body system. When the mind is not in good condition, its only downhill health wise from there. Its best to confront what makes you depressed and make that change.

Its odd that your doctor will not give you some kind of treatment for your condition, i suppose you could ask about it can get an assessment from another doctor, and a private doctor, than make a decision based on the results.
