Can you still bleed after removal of ovaries?

Can you still bleed after ovary removal? I read a few cases where this did happen, i had ovaries removed but kept uterus and cervix so just wondered if anyone experienced bleeding still.

    I just had this procedure - though I have had no bleeding my doctor did tell me it was possible to have at least one more period.  I have not but I had not had one for about 7 months prior to having the procedure.  Like you I had the bi-lateral ovaries and tubes removed and opted to keep my uterus.

      Thanks for your reply, i did have ableed afterwards which i believe could happen, i was hoping that would be the end of bleeding, i just didnt want to be worried if it did happen again but i suppose as long as smear and uterus health checked it should be ok

    No problem, glad to help....  I think if it continued too long I would definitely notify my doctor but I was warned that a time or two was quite normal.  It takes a while for your hormones to level out. 

    Just a warning - I have started the hot flashes again so it may happen to you!
