Stomach Issues

Hi All, I hope I am posting in the right forum.

I have had issues with my stomach now for nearly 7 years and I have all sorts of tests and they all come back clear.

My stomach is always bloated and there is a lot of gurgling coming from the bottom right hand side of my stomach.

I get very tired and feel sick and dizzy.

I dont have a problem with my BM and they are every morning.

I dont get any stomach pain unless I press on it.

I get a lot of pain under my rib cages both right and left and in the centre.

I always seem to get heart palpitations when my stomach flares up.

Nobody has been able to sort anything out I am starting to think I am going mad.

The doctor said it could be anxiety but I dont think so.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

If anyone can shed any light it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Julian

    Hi Julian

It may not be be IBS if your bowel movements are normal, but I would suggest you go back to the doctor and ask for a check on your gall bladder.  You need a special x-ray after a barium meal otherwise the stones don't show up.

Years before I started with IBS I had the same symptoms just under the right lower ribcage.  It took the doctor 4 years of saying the pain and sickness was all in my mind before I went private, only to find that the specialist found the problem of gallstones immediatey!  The xray of my gallbladder looked like an elongated banana stuffed with what looked like a load of peas!  After the op, it turned out I had 106 of them!  Some as large as double teeth, most the size of garden peas, and some very tiny ones which I believe could have caused a big problem if they'd been pushed out of the gallbladder.

Please don't wait as long as I did, suffering pain unnecessarily.  If your doctor still thinks its just anxiety, ask for a second opinion or ask to see a specialist!

Good luck.  I hope you have some reelief soon.

      Kath,

Thank you for your reply the problem I have with Doctors now is that I am thinking I'm a hypercondreact. My stomach is all over the shop today and I have now energy at all and just passed a lot of blood but its bright red so think it could be piles.

No doctors seem to take me seriously.

      Thanks

Hi there, I understand what you are going through..

I have had similar symptoms...almost two yrs ago, I suddenly woke up with sickness, loss of appitate, stomach bloated, stomach pains palpitations, severe tiredness..etc had lost of bloods done and dif tests all came back clear..was even tested for ovarian cancer, celiac all clear, I lost a lot of weight and felt like I wasn't getting no where, I ended up going private.

had an internal examination and then a ct scan all clear...I was suggested to go on a FODMAP diet. But after talking to dif people , one ESP who is celiac I decided to not drink coffee, eat bread, pasta, pastries...I fell so much better.

i have flare ups as I call them, and have been back to my GP several times..this wk I went back as I have had lower back ache , stomach pains , and she suggested going private again, to have a colonoscopy..which is what I am going to do.... It's as though no one takes you seriously..

this is a brilliant site, as unfortunately there are many people who are suffering and can give her some help and support.

You've mentioned all kinds of tests..was a UBT (urea breath test ) performed to rule ou. Helicobacteria Pylori? The cause of gastritis is often elusive. But once a suspected cause is found..it can be resolved. Tht title of the orginal post "how I cured my gastritis" poster did not have hpylori induced gastritis.her many suggestions are excellentwith one huge exception her urge to promote proton pump inhibitor..as she did nit have gastric ulcers nor hpylori
