Side effects coming and going?

I started on fluoxetine a little over a week ago and the first few days were quite unpleasant however I didn't have any side effect for 2-3 days but have the typical side effect symptoms today. Is it possible my side effects just temporarily stopped Nd have started again or is it probably something else making me feel off? Any other advice for starting on fluoxetine would be appreciated too smile

    Yes this can happen.  When I started SSRI's I had one symptom for one week week, a different one for the following week and so on for weeks - with nauseau being the one that lasted the longest.

    Everyones different so will experience things slightly different to the next person.  It will stop eventually, but be prepared for a long long wait until you feel any benefit from the meds.  They really do work :-)

    Hi Rov, when I first started on these I felt awful for a few weeks, even went back to doc at one point and said they didn't work but I persevered and was glad I did. I initially had palpitations, dizziness, nausea and headaches. I've recently increased my dose and some of these side effects have returned, sickness one day, headache the next but it will improve and you'll feel so much better .
