I've also been on Fluoxetine since December. On 20 mg and suppose to be taking 40. Just unsure. As every will say, it takes a few weeks. Try to rid your mega stressors and rest your brain often. Sorry your going through.

Thank you for your reply OreElect. Yes your right. I have had a rest day today trying to recover from a cold but find my mind won't rest. I guess it's all part of it and eventually the fluoxetine will work. I hope it does for you too 😊 xx

I'm on Fluoxetin 20mg. Day 22. I feel it hasn't "clicked" yet??!! Im also on Tylenol #4 whenever necessary fr broke foot in Dec. Is it conflicting with the Fluoxetin? These last 2 wks have been just horrible with crying, anxiety, feeling sad etc....this is antidepressant #4. When will I feel normal again? Have been depressed since Sept of 2014 after stopping an addiction to Tramadol (dependency really an an antidepressant. Took it for 7-8yrs. Got up to 15-20 pills a day)& also started menopause! So all of it hit. PAWS is prob what Im dealing with. On hormones to for menopause. I really hope this med kicks in soon. Its horrible the way I feel. Dont want to do anything. No motivation. Sad. No energy. Take it around 11 am everyday. Just bummed an tired of feeling like crap.

Im scheduling to see a clinical Pharmacy specialist for Interactions with all the meds I'm on. If you Google 2 meds and look for Interactions, amazing which ones do have high Interactions. I'm trying to cover all bases as the Dr's are wise, but there not taking the med. Having this issue with anxiety and panic attacks has led me to do alot of studying on it. There is so much the Dr's don't know about the brain. It's a tough one to have silence and rest you mind and thoughts and I've found I'm not taking enough time.letting my over thinking and stressors control me. I'm trying to Battle back with different ways, going way back and thinking of things long ago in detail that were important time's of my life etc. Work in progress.:p

Drugs.com or web MD one I use for looking at Interactions. But most importantly, my pharmacist being a brain trust.

This is normal.  Recovery often comes in waves - you'll feel good for a few days or weeks then get hit by anixie try and depression again.  If you try and accept this is part of the recovery process, let the feeling be there, you'll find that in time it'll lift again.  This pattern will repeat itself for many months.

Increasing your dose does not make recovery happen any quicker and you'll still go through this same wave period.

Took my son 8 months to fully recover.

You need perseverance and patience.  They will work for you in time.

Thank you so much Katecogs. This makes sense and makes me feel much more positive. 😊 xx

It's a pain how these meds work - they're slow, it's hard to see progress, your mood will up and down - so they fox us into thinking they're not working.  They are, in the background.

Its tough taking these meds - but the wait is so worth it! 😄❤️

That's brilliant. Thank you. I will do as you suggest and when I have a bad few days just accept it, not feel too bad about it and realise it's a journey to feeling better. You have really helped Katecogs 😀 xx

It's hard, I've been there myself.  So difficult waiting when you just want the suffering to stop now.

Good luck with it all and hope recovery comes to you soon.

Hey, I hope you don't mind me asking but how are things with you now?

I was feeling really well in week 5 as well but to the end of it all my anxiety came back.

Was at Doctors on Monday and they've increased me from 20mg to 40mg.

Bit up and down today, but wonder if I'm keeping to busy. There have been glimpses of what I know is me, so I'm hoping things improve in the next few days/week
