Low white blood cell count symptoms

Anyone who has low white blood cell count, what are the symptoms? I've been on medication for years for something and apparently that pill can lower the white blood cell count. I will be going to my GP next week for the blood test but was wondering anyway.

    Hello Sweetk

Sorry, but in Polycythaemia, it’s the red blood cells that actually increase in numbers. In 50% of cases of primary Polycythaemia, the platelets and white blood cells can also be raised. Reduction in these cells generally only happens, once patients have undergone treatment either by venesection and/or myelosuppressive drugs. Have you been diagnosed with Polycythaemia? If not I would suspect this forum may struggle to help you.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

    Kind regards

Oh I thought it was all about blood. No I just take a medicine that can decrease the white blood cell count. I was just wondering what the symptoms were.

      Hello Sweetk

It still might be worth you checking your post from time to time as someone may perhaps be able to answer your question. It’s just that the Polycythaemia Rubra Vera forum itself is primarily to do with red blood cells that are markedly raised than low white blood cells.

Keep checking in anyway, you never know.

      Take care

      Kind regards
