Groin pain

I Had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy on the 16th December, so 3 weeks ago. I have started to get right groin pain which is afecting right down to my knee. Really aching

    I doubt if you've healed inside yet. I was told 4 weeks min after same op last April. It took much longer for me, maybe as I'm older, (70's). A nurse in the ward said, just because you don't have a big scar outside doesn't mean it's not a major op, it IS! They cut through muscles which have to heal and we all heal at different rates depending on age and fitness. See your doc if you're worried. rolleyes

      Sorry , went to see my sister for a few days , so haven't been online. Thank you for your reply. I was thinking it will probably have something to do with age and fitness. I have fibromyalgia and I am 54 so doesn't bode well I suppose! I am going to phone my GP today just to check though as it is just over 4 weeks and still quite bad pain in the right groin. x

    I am so sorry. I have just seen my previous reply which is somewhat shorter than I thought I was sending. Don't know what happened but I was trying to say I thought you should go to the doctor. Not just a one word order. ??

      No worries. Sorry I haven't been on since! I am going to phone the doctor today. It has been just over the 4 weeks now and still getting the pain.
