Bleeding haemorrhoids and questions

I've not gone to the doctor yet sad I've had rectal bleeding on and off over 10 years, but for the past 6 months it's getting worse. I've noticed a small lump around my anus. And thought that's where I was bleeding from, but its internal. This lump has zero pain. But with BM I can start with normal, but near the end I'll get bright red blood, with potential clots ( on the toilet paper) no pain. Sometimes it will drip out at the end. Is there anything I can do at home ? IVet recently changed my diet to more fiber. I did have a bad episode where I was golfing about 6 months ago in a tournament, and it had bleed while playing and stained the back of my golf pants, I'm so so thankful had my black ones on that day and not my white ones

was hoping to try something at home, but I feel like a visit to dr is my only hope, and I'm so embarrassedsad

Thanks

That sounds very embarrassing. However I'd rather be embarrassed than not know what's causing these issues or receiving treatment. See a doc and if they are hemorriods they can be removed. Meds to shrink them even laser is simple in and out one day. They will only get worse not better.

    Hi there,

Poor you! This sounds really uncomfortable. My advice is to go to a specialist, it's no need to be embarrassed as they see every day different people with worse problems. I had 2 internal piles and 1 outside bleeding. It was really painful. I went to the specialist and they checked me and I was scheduled for banding on the 1st of February. It was a painful after the procedure and the 2nd day but now I am absolutely fine. The one outside who bleed I bought from the pharmacy "Calendula cuts&grazes skin salve ointment" and applied after every bowel movement and the bleeding stopped. Just clean the area after your bowel movement and apply this cream, it's very greasy but it will help you a lot, for me it worked but go to the doctor too as trust me they will do the right thing down there. I was embarrassed too but here I am and it was ok. I have the last one to be banded and this will happened after my follow up appoinent in March. I hope this helps.

    All the best,

    Suzana

I totally understand your embrassment! Starting the fiber is a good thing however you do need to go get it checked. I put it off for almost 8 years and had to have surgery. I was having the same issues you are having.
