Does this sound like Vulvodynia?

hi , about four weeks ago now i had pain in my vaginal/vulval area after sex which is not usual , and was so bad i had to put an ice pack on it, and hurt terribly when i sat down . The pain eased by the next day and i saw a nurse practitioner at my doctors surgery who said she thought it was a Bartholins cyst. she gave me antibiotics and i took these but the next time i had sex the pain came back again but not as bad as before. I went back to see the GP and she told me everything looked normal and she couldnt see a cyst, however after her very gently examining me the pain flared up. The pain is like localised soreness or tenderness during sex and is on one side at the bottom of my vaginal opening/vulva , after wards the pain is often an ache type pain on one side and i also get pain sometimes in my pubic bone on same side. im 54 and was diagnosed with vulval dermatitis a few years ago now and use an emollient cream , hydromol and a steriod cream when it flares up but it has been well controlled for a while now. i also use Vagifem pessaries and HRT patches. I went back again to the GP and she examined me internally as well this time but found nothing. She has referred me to a consultant gynaecologist. I have a history of recurrent thrush going back years but i suspect that in the last ten years this may have been vulval dermatitis misdiagnosed. I have an ache there today even though ive not had sex or touched the area. Ive also been under a lot of stress recently with family problems. I was also told a few years ago now that i had a varicose vein in my vulva but this is not obvious, I had just found a small area that felt thickened , however this last doctor said she couldnt see a varicose vein
