Hiatal hernia with food going down slow

has anyone been diagnosed with a small hiatal hernia and the primary symptom is food going down very slowly and sometimes pain where the stomach meets the esophagus when swallowing? i feel like no dr has been able to understand. PPIs at night seem to only help with a minty feeling in my chest and throat in the morning. i am worried ever since everything i read says small hiatal hernias dont typically cause symptoms. i had an endoscopy and they said they saw a small hiatal hernia and minor changes at the stomach and esophageal juncture.
