I've been diagnosed with mild hydrocele, doctor says no action needed despite me feeling discomfort?

i am a 38 year old adult male. I have seen a doctor after experience intermittent slight dull ache in my testicle. an ultrasound was done and the official diagnosis was "mild bilateral hydrocele". Doctor said no further action required, just rest, despite me still experiencing some discomfort. he did provide me with a referral letter to an urologist, which he felt is not necessary.

I am a little bit frustrated.

  1. will it go away on its own if i restrain myself completely from strenuous activities and sex?

  2. i have read online that epsom salt warm baths do help. anyone have experience this?

  3. my testicles do feel better if I apply ice pack to it for a few minutes. should I continue to do it?

  4. any other methods i can use to encourage natural drainage of the accumulated fluid in my testicles?
