Meniere's disease it's all in your head

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have often got the look when I explained my symptoms that it's all in my head. In fact it is and it is maddening. Any of these symptoms sound familiar? :

Vertigo dizziness tinnitus handshakes night sweats balance problems anxiety depressionvisual problems hearing loss ear pressure panic attacks headaches despair driving issue. any head motion makes woozy.

Here in the states there's really no medicine to treat any of the symptoms, except valium but nobody will prescribe that.

I think the key is learning to cope and just finding something that offers some relief to some symptoms.

No, do not ever think like this!! Check it up. Make you doctors crazy, make tests, do MRI, it can be 100 options. Do not assume that it your head. Fight it, found solution solve a problem. You doctor having problems not you are. You feel your body, you know that something wrong. Last thing is taking Valium.

      Thank You ludka,

When I said it's all in your head what I meant was your trouble I trouble brain headaches vertigo it's all the symptoms from your head not your imagination. I know I have many of my doctor said so but I have to see an ENT next month

Why would you say volume is the last thing you'd want to try? It seems like the only thing out there in United States available that will address vertigo and nauseous stuff associated with it. I've heard it also helps with depression and anxiety not so worried about that though my ears ring 24-7 and I know always dizzy. We do have one diuretic here but from what I can tell it just works for the Vertigo will do nothing for nausea or ringing in your ears. Also you have to drink a lot of water and take potassium pills a couple times a day and the side effects are just too numerous to mention. I decided to try it anyway. It was $130 a bottle. My insurance wouldn't pay for it and the pharmacy would not sell it to me for cash for they lose their license. I asked another pharmacy if I could fill it without using my insurance there and they said I could but if my insurance found out about it I would lose my insurance. So I logged on to a Canadian pharmacy to order some online it was a lot cheaper but I thought I shouldn't. Even if I did get some relief from it I don't think I would take it because of all the side effects and potassium you have to take in all the water you have to drink etc Waiting for an ENT appointment

Valium is mostly treating an anxiety. I got head injury two years ago. Comlicated case concassion, windflash, vertigo, originally

diagnosed BPPV recently MD and migraine .3 MRI , 5 different

vertigo tests, 2 nerologists, 3 ENT no one never suggested

valium. Currently taking bethastine 3 times a day for

balance, apo hydro at evening to reduce salt (water peels) apo

topiromate against headaches before sleep. Keeping diet. I am

working, driving, full time mome to three kids. Against tinitus

fighting by white noise or just music . My windflash handling by

accupanture, osteopathic and fisiotherapy. MD is chronic

deasese. I know that one day it get worse and I will possibly

need higher dosage or injection or worse, but I will fight and

As I mentioned I cannot seek relief through betahistine as we do not have it in the United States. So for the past two years I've been wanting something to relieve the symptoms and now it does nothing for the disease. Now it has really grown up I feel like I felt it spreading into my right here as well. Thanks for the tips on white noise maybe that's why I watch so much TV when I turn it off all I hear is the ringing. Yes I buy a little radio

You simptoms not nessesary mean that it MD, a lot of deaseses having simular simptoms. GP cannot dignose without tests,

consulting with specialists and checking history. He must to

complete all blood tests, MRI, to eliminate other deaseses. Do

not rush after peels, push on diagnostic.

Hmm. I have a lot of ro/di water on hand so I will try that. I have constant dizziness and vertigo on and off along with the 24/7 ringing. I will try this ginger root tincture. Taste anything like ginger ale? Lol
