Nausea 4 weeks in?

Hi all!!

Im about 4 weeks in on prozac. (I also switched cold turkey from celexa to prozac.) i was having headaches these past 4 weeks which is normal. But a few days ago i now have nausea. Is it normal to develop side effects or maybe withdrawal effects 4 weeks in? I just thought if i was gona feel nausea it would have been sooner. Am i thinking wrong?

Yup.  When I started Citalopram I had a variety of side effects, one after the other, each one a different week.

    Hi andrielle,

I am week 17 of fluoxetine and still getting nausea.  This is a very slow acting drug but I seem to be particularly sensitive to anti depressants.

Four weeks is very early days.  I think you should stick with it for at least 8 weeks.  I have had lots of discussions online and many people find it takes 3 - 4 months to start working.  I have a few good days and then revert back to feeling bad.  My doctor wants me to stick with it but how long it will take I just don't know.

Good luck and try to stay positive, it isn't easy I know.
