New achalasia diagnosis

Hi

I have recently been diagnosed with achalasia. Fortunately , at the moment , my symptoms are not too severe and manageable. i do find that I have extra saliva in my mouth and cough up small mucous balls very frequently. My consultant has said the mucous is due to the achalasia and I wondered if anyone else has these symptoms. Many thanks.

I have not experienced the mucus balls you mention.

If you have not seen the post about chelated magnesium on this forum, I suggest you read it. I have found that to be a solution that works for me.
