Wow, that really took you out of circulation! I had my 10 day post-op check up two days ago. six stitches were removed from three small incisions and the doctor said I was ready to go. I am still going slow in areas and getting rest as needed. There's no need to push it too quickly, you are right to follow those orders. Did they say why the infection happened?

there was nothing said as to why i had the infection but they said it was anerobes which are bugs already in the gut,, may not help that i suffer from IBS C form but they didn't say why... the scar itself was never infected just all internally..  but i did have an infection 2 weeks before and was on antibiotics for it but surgery was fine to go ahead, and no infection was found during surgery

Wow, the body is just amazing. And bugs in the gut sounds, um, awkward. Heck of a way to learn they are there, no? At least now things are on the upward move. I have felt my stomach itching more, which leads me to believe things really are healing up. Thank goodness. Some things I've read other people going through nearly scared the pee out of me.
