Swollen lymph node for almost 5 months, doctors say that it's reactive but I want knowledge

Hello

Since spring started this year, I am now going at almost 5 months with a painless swollen lymph node in the right side of my neck. I've got ecographies and a few doctors commented on it, even a cirugy specialist, and they all said that it's nothing to worry, it's just a reactive node.

However, none of them explained me why it doesn't go back to its normal size (well, the cirugy specialist said that most likely I touch it too much and I shouldn't...). Also no idea what to do. Anti-inflammatory medications don't do anything on it.

Is there something I should do to make the lymph node go back to its normal size?
