Hi all, will globes sensation ever go away?????

    I've noticed that gluten foods and increase in gassy drinks makes the sensation. I can't swallow my own saliva! The only cure is a shot muscle relaxer and gargle with lidocaine.... Which they give you a script for. 3:30 am been going on since 7.... I just called out of work, since I can't walk around with a bowl.... pizza three nights, soda water must of triggered it.... The worse is when your throat does it in a restaurant.... Noticed stress and anxiety can cause the symptoms too.

      Wednesday I get Botox in my vocal cords. This helps a lot with my throat sensations. It doesn't last tho. Google largyngo all sensory neuropathy and Botox.

    Mine did, eight months after appearing. Did many exams, no medications prescribed by ENT.

      I would really like to help you but I don't know how, it just vanished.

      What else can i say that i recall..., it was August/September when it stoped and it started in January of that year.

      The ENT said (after many exams) that i had to live with it.

      Along eight months the only relief i had during the day was when eating solid food.

      It was worse if i turn the head to the right (the Glubus sensation was on the left side of the troat.

      Keep up your hope, it's possible to go away.

    cure: THE CURE IS THIS : take a 24hr antihystamine tablet Take 1 (zyrtec in USA its called : ingredent is (  Cetirizine ) UK serch boots for Allergy Relief 10mg Tablets Cetirizine Hydrochloride .

    1 a day make it go away , your body is releasing low level hystamine TRUST me dont pay for tests EXPENSIVE and takes ages I was clear of all allergies but my body tempeture caused my body to attack itself and I would get Globus , its a mild throat closing nothing dangerous just annoying , Iv been taking this anti hystamine tablet never came back... I just take one every day non drowsey stay away from benadryl makes you drowsey . or you can take one NOW any anti hystamin tablet will work. let me know and others here if it helped, let me know here is if works for you ! so others can try . wasted so much money and a cheap PILL fixed it .

      Hello Jim,i am having this feeling since last august,i can eat and drink with no problems,but i feel smthng stuck in my throat when i swallow my salaiva and while breathing,i had neck MRI and they said its fine ENT scopy is fine esophogus scopy is fine even thyroid altrasound is fine,now i am thinking of going to a neurologist and make head MRI, i dont know what to do,i am draid of this feeling.

      After reading ur comment am thinking of visiting allergy doctor

      Am fraid it is a tumour in the head or smthng

      Your post was 6 mths ago, how are you going? You don't have anything wrong with your brain. The brain makes extra territory in itself for the things you  pay attention to. If you are scared of the feeling, your brain will give it a lot of space/attention. It's designed to attend to whatever you register as a threat. That said, globus is utterly maddening and upsetting, i agree
