?Appendix pain

I think I may just be a hypercondriac, but for the last few days I have been getting on and off pain in my lower right side, about 2 inches from my belly button and down a bit. It is not especially painfull, just niggling, although it was sharp for a short time this morning, I have no other symptoms like fever, nausea, vomitting etc etc. If I press on the area it is quite tender.

I have IBS which quite often gives me pains in my stomach, so I had imagined it was probably this, the only thing that concerns me is the tenderness on pressing on this right side, no where else is tender when I have been prodding around my stomach!

Im sure I am just being paranoid, but just wondering if anyone experienced anything like this early on with appendicitis, just wanting to reassure myself really! I don't want to go and see a doctor about it as I really don't think it is anything to worry about! Any thoughts appreciated. Feel free to tell me I'm a hypercondriac!!

Hi. When I had appendicitis I had pains and was in hospital 3 days later so cos yours has been going on for a while possibly something else. I also had vomiting, loss of appetite, fever , constipation and literally couldn't stand up straight due to the pain. Maybe something else but don't feel silly going to the doctors. I put it off ended up in hospital for a moth as my appendix had burst. The doctors did say was like IBS pain ?? Hope u feel better soon x

Do not think your hypercondriac, I have dull constant pain in lower right abdomen for a week, also tenderness in area. Are you still havig pain?

Hi. I still have the pain, but decided by now it's not my appendix as it probably would have burst by now. I have however increased my number of symptoms to include constant nausea, regular vomitting and abdo bloating, so I don't know what is going on, neither sadly does my GP! I've had IBS for years so I'm wondering if it's that, but then reading up on more severe things like Coeliacs and crohns I tick a lot of those boxes too, and it seems worse than my typical IBS pains, so I'm thinking of persuing that path.

Are you still having the pains?
