(Picture included) - Right tonsil asymmetrical, burning pain at back of throat, ear pain, globus?

So I'm a 24 year old female and I have GERD - I take Lansoprazole daily to reduce stomach acid, but despite this, in the past few weeks I've been getting a burning, hot sensation at the back of my throat, on the right side.
I also get occasional right ear pain, and an on and off globus senstation/feeling of a lump in my throat.
A lot of this my doctor attributed to acid reflux and GERD, but most of these sensations have only recently started and started since I've been back on Lansoprazole (I was on it at the start of the year for 2 months but I had rebound acid reflux).
So, for this reason, I think it's maybe throat or tonsil related? I've never had tonsillitis to my knowledge, but my right tonsil is bumpy and asymmetrical (my left tonsil is flat and barely noticable) and that's the area I've been getting burning pain. There seems to be a big hole in the top of mine that I've never noticed before and I also haven't seen or noticed any tonsil stones as of yet. I do also have halitosis/bad breath, even though my oral hygiene is (hopefully) up to par.
Due to Covid, the waiting time to see an ENT specialist is ridiculous (I'm already in the waiting list for an Endoscopy for my acid reflux, even though I have mentioned about my dad having Esophageal cancer previously so that could be a risk), and just wondered if anyone else had any similar issues and if so, have you had any development or enlightenment about what it could be?
I've attached a picture, it's not too clear but hopefully you can see the asymmetry - the concerning painful side is circled in red. Any advice would be welcome!

Hi there, I have had the exact same thing. I did go to the ENT back in January before all the lockdown situation and he couldnt see anything wrong and said all healthy and that it could be Globus.
I have had this since last September and been back numerous times to the doctor (he also put me on acid reflux pills but they upset my stomach so I stopped them (I wasnt convinced it was acid anyway).
Because of Covid I have been trying to discover for myself what the hell could this be as its now become tiring after all this time. I have discovered that I snore so i think this is the bit upsetting my throat. But I also discovered that I had a very small white dot on my tonsil which was a tonsil stone. Im just wondering whether they just took time to appear. My ears also hurt.
Please keep us updated as to anything you find out about this as it is driving me nuts. Good luck.

Hi Julie, thanks for replying with your experience! I've been to the nurse today who immediately noticed the asymmetry and has swabbed it to send away for testing to rule out any infections. I'll update everyone after the results and then any further updates when I go to ENT for my endoscopy (hopefully within the next couple of months, but who knows!)
Hope your throat doesn't bother you too much! I also snore and sometimes wake up with a dry mouth, but that's happened my entire life, since I was a child, so I'd assume the dryness just aggravates whatever it is.
Good luck yourself!
