Hi, I'm on a low dose of mirtazapine, 7.5mg, andI have to take antibiotics as I am prone to getting chest infections. I haven't had any problems., . Just check with your GP or consultant to be sure.

Hi there, have you tried a strong salt and warm water gargle, it does help and is natural. If you are in the uk ring your pharmasist at a chemist. Take a picture of your throat and send it to the Doctors. I hope you feel better soon. x

Thank you and i'm doing that but it seems is not doing its job and i can't take antibiotics, my psychiatrist told me i cant because it can't interfere with mirtazapine, also, do you perhaps know if this medication can cause tonsils infection?

Its not a side effect that I am aware of, having said that if your immune system is low then that is probably the cause. I hope you feel better soon.
