VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

so I let it dry out a bit, and then had a bath. I took a razor to it to shave some of the built up skin around it. somehow the black centre of the verruca attached to the blade and came out! It was SO painful. I'm left with a deep hole in my toe where the verruca used to be. It keeps bleeding so I'm going to leave it overnight to see what it looks like tomorrow.
How long should I wait before I attack it again with more vinegar? I'm determined to kill this little beast.

Some people have mentioned picking out the black bit but I don't know if it's too soon. I've been filing it down every day but the surface seems too smooth to actually dig into it.

I've just read this thread and I'm going to order some ACV online now to try, really hope it works!
I have had one verruca for years and now another 2 that are smaller, they are on the ball and heel of my feet I've also tried everything from visiting a chiropodist to freeze treatments to bazuca, none of which have worked.
I do have a pedi-egg (I purchased in Boots) and this is like a cheese grater, I have been using this to file right down to the verruca exposing the little black heads and sometimes causing it to bleed, I think this will be useful to use in conjunction with the ACV as it is much stronger than the regular files.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed, will update with any news! 😊

I'm now nearly 2 weeks in and it doesn't get any less painful! A few days ago after a good few hours of vineger, I got out my "cheese grater", rubbed away and found fresh pink skin. Only a few little black dots were visible. I was so delighted and thought that I was winning. The next day after applying the viveger it seemed to reveal even more black bits which must have been deeper under the skin. Is this normal? I still feel hopefull but I'm worried I'll never get to the end as it gets better then worse all the time. Advice gladly received.

I promised myself if I was successful in getting rid of mine I would post on this forum and I'm pleased to say I was!
Like everyone else, I tried loads of things to get rid of mine (e.g. doctor who said it would go away, seeing a private podiatrist, home freezing kit, duct tape, tea tree oil etc etc).
For a period of 2 weeks, I soaked a piece of cotton wool with ACV and covered it with a plaster. I changed it every morning and evening. I found that the verruca was going black and the skin around was flaking white. I decided to cut out the black bit with a pair of nail cutters and keep applying. It did sting/throb/hurt but not so much that I couldn't sleep through it or anything.
I didn't know when to stop as I kept seeing black bits and a hole when I cut the black bits out. After 2 weeks my foot swelled up and I decided I probably needed to stop, even to give it a break and reapply after a week.
To my surprise, the hole just filled up with a white fleshy bits. I was really worried that the verruca was reappearing, but decided to see what would happen. It just turned into really hard skin. I was convinced that a new one would reappear and kept monitoring it. One day, I just decided to peel the hard skin off and I was left with fleshy bits and some bloody bits underneath. However once this healed, the skin looked completely normal and like surrounding skin.
It's been around 2 months since I started the treatment and I'm really pleased to say it hasn't grown back!
don't give up hope!!!

My husbands reaction (ergh whats that on your foot!?) motivated me to sort it out once and for all with help from this forum!! I used the cheapo ACV from my cupboard and soaked a cotton ball in it and applied it to the verruca, covering it with a plaster over night. In the morning they had blackend and the surrounding skin was white. I used a foot file to take what I could off then left it uncovered all day. Repeated this for about 2-3 weeks and found that most of it just filed off quite easily. No pain at all (I didnt pick, just let it dry up). The biggest one was still there after 3 weeks, but I hadnt been very strict at applying the ACV after the first bit cleared up. Today I decided I must resume and get rid of this last bit, but with some picking it just came away! So thrilled to finally have normal feet again...
It may have been my immune system deciding to get involved too but the ACV works brilliantly, I cant recommend it highly enough.

It took three attempts. The first couple of attempts seemed to clear the verruca up only for it to reappear several days later.
On the third occasion it went for good.
You have to persist and don't give up. It can be painful the first treatment did hurt at times.
But I had tried nearly every thing over 12 years to remove the verruca before this and this worked. I still find myself looking at the sole of my foot to make sure that the verruca hasn't come back 7 months after it was "cured" by this method.
I had tried previously treatments by my doctors surgery, proprietory treatments ( mainly salicylic based gels normal and super strength ), freezing, banana skins, duck tape, almost everything that others said would work but didn't.
This method did
It feels so good to be rid of this "parasite" after so long

If you are reading this and thinking it can't possibly work, just try it. It's cheaper than all over-the-counter/freezing methods, and actually works. I have tried everything from all the creams, gels, cryotherapy, scalpel and this actually works. Just be patient, keep reapplying new vinegar day and night, and just get yourself through the pain because it is worth it.
Very happy to have found this thread. Good luck to all of you still battling with your little nasties.

about may this year i noticed a mound on my heal. i thought it was a mass of dry skin until my mother took a look.
she said and i quote "THAT is a verruca, and its bloody massive!"
i panicked.
i used the salicylic acid which did nothing but cause the worst pain ever, made me bleed, unable to sleep because of the pain or walk. i tried this for 6 weeks. i tried freezing countless times which seemed to make it worse. i have been trying duct tape on its own for around 4 months but recently combined this with hand sanitizer then teatree and then nail varnish on top for the past 4 weeks. i would leave the duct tape on for 6-7 days at a time by the way.
a week ago i tried silver nitrate in combination with everything else which stung but only for a couple of hours and no were near as bad as the acid (which im sure i was allergic to anyhow as i had a very bad reaction to it)
i took everything off today and the nitrate did take a whopping amount of skin off which was awesome but not too much effect on the area.
by the way this is important. i can now see each and ever little bugger i have and at last count on my heel there is 40, give or take.
and NO the NHS will not help. i have been there and done that and called chiropodists and podiotrists who all turned me away and said ive tried everything so why bother.
TODAY i have decided to try vinegar as its the last thing i can try really. this post seems very optimistic.
i soaked a cotton wool ball in Aspal Cyder Vinegar and duct taped it up and then put elastaplast brand mefical tape on to keep it there. i really hope this works as im out of ideas and am tired of not being able to wear any nice shoes.
