VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

so this morning when i woke up i noticed as soon as i put my foot on the floor that it was VERY tender! and quite painful to walk on! never in my life would i have thought this of simple apple cyder vinegar!

i took the dressing off and i could see the black dots in the centre of each and every of my 40 verrucas (which is a cluster verruca) this being right on my heel i have found walking about today very hard and have had to limp with the pain.

i have duct taped it back up with fresh tape mainly so its not getting air or touching my clothing. i will re apply the vinegar tonight and see what happens. i ahve not scraped out gone near it as it is very sore to touch.

the skin on the warts is white and hard but like i said i can see the black dots in the centres.

15 years of this... i hope i see real results soon!

the warts vary in size. some as small as a pin head some as large as your pinky nail. i will report any changes.

@michele35346 its possible that it is because you have a build up of skin over the top of the actual verruca. this is what mine was like MONTHS ago until i started to get rid of the skin. now the excess skin is gone i can see each and every one. they look like little white round patches and when they soak up the vinegar because you have exposed the actual wart you will start to see the black dot. or atleast thats how it seems to be for me.

daisywells. yes I think thats what happened, I haven't seen black bits on mine for many years!! so its taking its time to work out to the root. my verrucas was painful to walk on anyway, so even though its abit more painful with the acv, I can live with it as I know its working.

keep it up with it, hope it doesn't hurt too much x

I have 'mosaic' verruca's on both feet and have had them for nearly 20 years now, started off on the ball of one foot then a second appeared in EXACTLY the same place on my other foot. My right food is the most affected, I have 3 quite large ones.

I have tried pretty much all OTC products, bazucca cream, wartner, duct tape, that black stick thing, banana

skin (didn't persevere with the banana skin for long so can't honestly say it doesn't work as some forums say it does) and most recently about 6 sessions of freezing the blighters, very painful and made no difference.

I googled and came across this thread and have been using AVC every night for the past week (Aspals Apple Cyder Vibegar), took a couple of days but other than one I have on my right heel (I think this may be a bit deeper in my foot that and in general I guess the skin on the heel is tougher etc) they are now all black and very tender, limped up to bed tonight but I have a pretty good pain threshold and I'm so determined to get rid of them! I hate my feet being touched because of them, would love a pedicure etc but wouldn't dare to let some poor beautician near my feet until they have gone.

So... After my bath/shower in the evenings I use a brand new cheapo bic razor (they sell multiple packs) and use it to remove the dead skin, I then chuck it away, only use it the once, then apply a tiny piece of cotton wool soaked in the AVC and cover it with duct tape, in the morning I remove it and leave my feet alone until the evening again. Already two on the right ball of my foot look like they will be gone soon but as others have advised I will continue for a few extra days up to a week.

Thank you everyone for all the useful info and tips, I will keep you updated! I'm also thinking of taking AVC tablets from the health store too, can't hurt.

So glad I found this thread :-)

I cant remember if it was one of the recommendations on here or not, but I read somewhere, that you can purchase EMLA cream over the counter of chemists.

EMLA will numb the area around the varruca, thus enabling you to have a good ole dig and get the black root out. One of my daughters had a big one growing UNDER her nail, but she persevered and at last the bloody thing has gone!!!

My other daughter, however, has had no luck with hers. Has kept the dressing on for as long as she could stand the pain, but here we are, nearly 5 months down the line, and hers looks like its growing inwards. Nothing is bought to the surface therefore, theres nothing to cut out. But they dont bother her so much. Has anyone else experienced where the varucca grows inwards, and not out??

    ACV is brilliant stuff though!!!

    Hello,

So I've had a verrucas on the heal of my for for about 8 years now and nothing has worked. I found this forum so thought I would give it a go and started the ACV 2 weeks ago.

I had no pain until about 4 days ago, it he verrucas had already gone black and lots of black dots were visible. Each night I would file down the area but for the past 2 nights the pain has been unbearable. Last night at midnight I had to remove the ACV pad as it was so bad.

Now the whole area is black and I'm giving it a night off, but is there anything else I should be doing????

Is it ok to leave it a day and do I continue to file the area even though the pain is so bad?

Just really want rid of this thing,!!!!!

I had warts on my left knee for about 25 years - since I was about 3, fell and scratched my knee. Lately they had started spreading to my thighs and legs. I had tried everything, from laser treatment, to burning them with liquid nitrogen, pharmacy kits, potatoes, you name it.

I finally got rid of them by burning some of them with one of the wart pens I got at the pharmacy AND taking lots of vitamins and immunace at the same time. All of them disappeared, even the ones I hadn't treated.

Basically what the pen did was start an inflammation and then my own body defences got rid of them (with the help of the vitamins and immunace, that I wasn't taking when went through the other treatments).

I think it is a matter of luck sometimes.

@katharine81627 i did it once with mine. had it on all day n night took it off next morning because it was so sore and covered it back up in duct tape. i did this a few days ago and have taken the duct tape off today. build up of dead skin and some black dots are noticable after i have taken all the dead skin off. ive reapplied the vinegar now and plan to do just what ive done. leave it on all day and night and take it off the following day and cover back up with tape and leave for a few days. its very tender otherwise.

if its sore then stop for a bit, i can only think that its sore because yoiu are right on the verruca now.

We'll I am now back on the ACV after 2 nights off and so far I'm not in the same pain I was in before which is good.

@antigone33162 - I'm not sure about having the ACV on 24/7, it may be too much especially as you are in pain, your foot may need some chance to have a break and let the air dry out the skin during the day

Hi, Today found out a varuca started so will catch it early and try VINEGAR treatment. Had to smile when mike said about that they will go in a year I was told same. A year of discomfort is far to long a wait, so rekon VINEGAR is the solution this time.

We'll I've tonight filled away all the black on my verruca and reapplied the vinegar and duck tape and oh I'm in a lot of pain.

While removing the black, the skin was very white and I could feel something hard under the surface, is that the root?
