VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

It looks promising so far! I took a break for a few days because I ran out of medical tape, but with my paycheck came more supplies and I'm back on schedule. None of them have completely died and gone, but I managed to take out the black "cores" of a couple with a pair of tweezers, including one extremely painful one that now looks a lot more sorry for itself. Most of them have definitely shrunk and all the smaller ones have gone black and look on their way to dying. I can't remember where I saw it-- might have been here!-- but someone said that when you get that white "halo" around the verruca you're on the home stretch. I've got that on one or two of them, so fingers crossed. I can't wait to see healthy skin again.
The one on my heel, however... I took an emery board to it and managed to get it down to the pink tissue under the dead bits. I accidentally made it bleed a bit, too... whoops, but I guess it gets disinfected by the vinegar anyway. And who knows, maybe drawing antibodies to the area will make my immune system notice the virus. However, the pain is something else. Oh, Mary mother of God, it hurts! I think it's down to the bit under the protective barrier now-- the bit that's "supposed" to be in my foot-- because it woke me up at 3am last night feeling like someone was digging a scalpel into my flesh with no anaesthetic whatsoever. I couldn't get back to sleep at all, so I ended up taking the cotton wool off for the rest of the night.
I've put banana skin on it today instead. I'll try the vinegar again tomorrow night because I take the pain as a sign it's working (and it's definitely doing lots of dying) but now I see what you all meant by "agony"! I can't take painkillers so if it doesn't get any less painful, I'll either have to schedule application for a few hours before my evening wind-down (nothing like a few hours of Skyrim to take your mind off pain; that's my usual remedy for period cramps) or try duct tape for a while. I'd put up with the pain if I didn't have to do so much walking, because I was limping around town yesterday at a snail's pace. I think people thought I was actually disabled, because cars and people alike were being very understanding of my extreme slowness... I feel a bit guilty about that, but I really just couldn't put any weight on it! Nor do I really appreciate how extremely tired I look today.
I'm a bit worried about one thing, which is that I seem to have a new little one... it looks like I might have made an abrasion in some healthy skin with the razor and it's become infected. I have heard that when you start trying to kill verrucas that they can become very aggressive and retaliate by spreading. I put vinegar on it last night but it's made healthy tissue around it swell up and go white and sore, so I'm avoiding that bit for now. I've put nail varnish on it instead, hoping that since it's so new it won't be very resilient yet.
So far, so good!

So, for those people wondering will it work, should I persevere with it, etc etc, all I can say it keep going and it will work. Good luck 😋

The smaller periungual wart on the front of my finger has (I believe) gone! It did infect and become quite swollen during the ACV treatment, so I did have to leave it for a few days to settle before re-applying. However it seems to have totally disappeared!
The larger one on the side of my finger is a little more persistent! I guess it's not surprising though as I have had it for 3 years! It has significantly improved and has gone through a few cycles. So I've applied the ACV and it's gone black and I have managed through gentle persuasion to remove the blackened area and a lot of the white dead skin that has built up around it. I have repeated this process 3 times now and there are still a few little black roots that I can still see. Not sure how long I will need to keep doing this, but have already had to cut into halfway across my nail so it's not a pretty site
My biggest problem is that it is on my right index finger and so trying to pare away the dead skin is tricky using my left hand (as I am right handed!) I wish it was on the other hand and I could deal with it so much better! lol!
What is the longest that anyone here has continued with their ACV treatment for? I have been treating mine now for around 4 weeks.
The pain is excruitiating at times and almost non existent at others?! I did put a larger bit of ACV soaked cotton wool on last night and it did hurt like mad last night so I am wondering if perhaps too much of the healthy skin was exposed?
Anyway great to hear of all the happy results!

I've been using insulating tape and it's worked fine- I got results on the second treatment. I've also been covering my verruca up during the day with a small amount of tape (no acv) to stop the spores spreading. I've picked one out already (I've only done 5 treatments) and it's quite bloody looking underneath bit didn't bleed. Does anyone know if I need to do anything after this to stop the verruca coming back or how I stop it getting infected? Also, though most have said that this really painful, I've not experienced this not have I needed any type of painkiller because it's only a small bit of discomfort now and then, but I suppose this depends on your own experience (don't expect it to be exactly the same as others)
. I was so happy to get rid of it (finally!) after over 3 or 4 years! Maybe even longer but I just got used to it after a while- so glad I found this!

Around 3 years ago I got a tiny little verruca in the...er... meat part behind the big toe. You know where I mean.
Since then I have used over the counter salicylic acid, nail clippers to cut the infection out and even liquid nitrogen at the doctors. Nothing worked and all I managed to do is make it around the size of a 1p piece in diameter now. I finally got sick of using a corn blade every week to keep the hard skin manageable and wanted to get rid so I turned to home remedies and found this site. I'm only about 5 days in but I've been experiencing a lot of what's mentioned here.... blackened skin, floppy white skin, IMMENSE pain at 4am, but I'm gonna keep at it as it 'seems' to be working.
So I use the cotton wool ball, a light soaking in ACV and duct tape through the night, then in the morning I remove and let it dry, every couple of days I've been shaving it down with a corn blade as far as pain will let me go. I haven't experienced seeing the root or seeing a 'hole' like other people here, but I think as long as I just keep blasting the area with ACV it MUST die eventually, right? :D

I've read every single page of this with much interest. I've had verrucas for 9 years (I'm 35) and now have so many that it's no longer meaningful to count them. Very depressing. I tried Bazuka and freezing, and tried waiting, and all they did was multiply.
So, two days ago I started with the ACV and cotton wool and duct tape. I can already see a change. The first day there was no pain, but now it hurts. Not too bad, and I actually like the pain because I know it means that the verrucas are finally paying for what they've done to me! I've also been taking skin, hair and nail vitamin supplements, Cysteine and also oregano oil (internally). Also, i've been visualising the verrucas being forced out of my body. Basically I'm finally fed up and determined to get rid of them.
The ACV has caused them all to be raised and white. Actually, before I started, i went to the chiropodist and got all the hard skin shaved off so that they are more vulnerable to my attack. Some of the really big ones have started to darken in the middle, though not black yet. I just really want rid of them. Someone told me that there is normally a 'mother' verruca - if you kill that one then you kill them all. Don't know if that's true. Anyway, i will keep you all updated.
Right now I had to take the duct tape and ACV off for a couple of hours because I just wanted my feet to feel dry. I think the wetness is really annoying, especially because I have so many that my foot is almost completely wrapped in duct tape, so really sweaty - yuk!

I've had 2 rough and hard skin patches on my left sole for over 2 years now. One is on the edge of the foot on the hard bony area and the other in the middle near the toes. This one hurt a bit when I pressed it. I just assumed these were hard skins brought on by ill filling shoes because I couldn't see any 'black bits' in them. I just kept picking at them, even occasionally cutting off the hard skin or filling it down until smooth. Then left it thinking it would go away but the hard skin always kept coming back. It became very annoying eventually. I was embarrassed about going to the doctor with this problem in case they thought I was just being silly to seek medical help for a little thing like this. However a few weeks ago another tiny hard skin started to form near the middle one .. so that was it, I went to see the doctor 3 weeks ago.
The GP said straight away that the one on the side of the foot was probably a corn and to use a corn plaster... and he prescribed a gel of Salicilic and lactic acids for the middle one (i was told to use this twice a week, but I've been using it every other day...instruction on leaflet say use everyday). I've used the acid gel for just over 2 weeks now and its greatly reduced in size and the skin around it is starting to heal. 2 days ago I saw the black bit for the first time. I was going to take the tweezers and pull at it today but some skin has formed around it and it's a bit tender so I've just applied more of the gel.
As for the outer one, I' used 4 corn plasters from scholl, the area reduced in size but wasn't coming off completely so I then applied the gel on it. No change, so I've used 2 more corn plasters from a different manufacturer. The area has now become larger again, white, raised and tender. It's not coming off. I'm not sure if this is a corn or another verruca. I can something like a black bit on the periphery of it, or perhaps it's blood. I'm leaving the plasters off and let it rest.
Both these now have soft white raised skin and are a little painful. Does this mean they are finally healing?
GP said the verruca should disappear after 6 weeks, if not, then I should see a chiropodist and have it scrapped off.
Also, because I didn't know what these were, I've been touching them for the past 2 years. I hope these blighters don't appears elsewhere on my person !
I just need these gone now.

Have reapplied the ACV and duct tape and it's reassuringly painful, so I know the blighters are dying. Will post more updates.
Good luck to everyone else!

I am so relieved and happy I'm beyond words. Your support has meant a lot and given me hope to carry on using the vinegar. I used it for 20 days in total (with an interval of 5 days off because my skin surrounding it was looking angrier that ever). After so much pain in the first week and limping for a few days, after nearly a whole bottle of apple cider vinegar it is finally gone. The pain was well worth it.
I went to my podiatrist today and she managed to take the dead bits off leaving my pink healthy skin at the bottom of the whole. When she showed me it was like seeing heaven Lol
I will still apply vinegar for about two nights just to make sure that the virus is not there anymore.
So mission accomplished. Apple Cider Vinegar THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, you are a star!!
