VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

Nothing has really happened yet after three days. I can see the black core but it's so really deep down in my foot, in a really deep hole, I think because the verrucca is right on the ball of my foot where my weight is. I WANT IT TO GO sad

Hi, I have been doing this now for 5 nights. 2 of my warts have now gone and left red craters in my hand which i have used antiseptic cream for and covered. The other one i have on my hand though is reacting differently. How come it is not going dark? When i have acv on and left it the way you all desribe it just goes soft and white then hardens up after an hour.

Hi everyone, having suffered with verrucas for about 3/4 years now and seemingly tried everything - salicylic acid, duct tape, bazuka, the doctor telling me they will "go on their own in a year" (ha ha) - I had almost lost hope they would ever leave! Found this post and now that I'm back from uni I'm giving the ACV a go...

I have a couple of questions though... Do you have to dig down and scrape all the black bits when they appear, or will they also go if you just leave and let them fall off? I understand the ACV alone will be painful, but in just over a week I have about 5 days of long (12+) hours shifts of standing, and so could really do with not being in agony! Also, aside from putting the ACV on, is there anything else anyone recommends? Taking other tablets, creams etc? Sorry to bombard you all with questions which you've no doubt answered before, but I've been so impressed with all the successes on here that I can't help but feel this might be the miracle cure I've been looking for!

    Thanks again smile

I left the black stuff and just kept applying acv to the warts at night time leaving them uncovered during the day after two weeks I dug out the black stuff and they seem to have gone but  after digging out I reapplied the acv one more time it's only been a day since doing this so I guess time will tell if they have really all gone

Hi, this may have already been said, but to those who are seeing untreated warts disappear this is because the treatment is stimulating your bodies immune system to respond to the virus. Once the immune response is activated it will attack all the ways of the same strain. Ones that remain will most likely be of a different strain and will therefore require a differing immune response.

Okay. I created an account so I could comment

Lol smile Well I've had a wart on the top of my foot for like 3 years now & just yesterday I tried the apple cidar vinegar and kept the cotton ball on me all day & part of the night till my foot started hurting at 2AM. I took the cotton ball off to let it have a break and this morning it was black and by reading the comments this is an excellent thing. Question now. Should I take an emery board and file the black part off or should I just put more cotton balls with apple cider vinegar on it? I read on a health blog to not touch them, don't pick or pull at them or they will spread so I'm just wondering. smile

Hi fellow wart sufferers. Must first say, great to know there are others who feel the same frustration and pain when it comes to plantar warts!

Ok...my experience has also been a long and arduous one! I have had a mosaic plantar wart on the ball of my foot for over 10 years at least. I have also tried every trick in the book (topical treatments including Salicylic acid, cryotherapy sessions, hacking away in frustration only to limp to the nurse a bloody mess...twice! Garlic, banana peels, banana peels plus garlic...the list goes on). Each time the bastards came back with a vengeance...and the mosaic spread further.

Recently I got wind of the ACV miracle wart treatment and, what the hell, I have nothing to lose...so I gave it try. It is a tad milder than my alternative option...saw off my left foot! I applied soaked cotton to entire wart area (about 5x5 cm) day and night! After a day area went white and puffy and small black dots appeared (Wart blood vessels dying?). After two days black blotches appeared and throbbing intensified. By day 3-5 I was in so much agony, I had to stop for a day or two the pain was that severe. I resumed treatment after clearing away dead tissue for a further 5 days after which I felt confident I got it all. So I allowed my traumatised foot to heal and after a few days could finally walk normally again. After a week....The Warts are back!!!!!!!!! But seemingly reduced in size...down to 3-4 main warts clustered in a core area it seems. So back to the ACV...day 3 now and same process pretty much exactly. Still super painful and back to walking like a dumb zombie!  Sucks cause I am less inclined to run after my busy 14 month old daughter when in pain.

I suspect I need to give it a bit longer than 10 days before caving in this time...but I remain hopeful and determined this treatment will still work, despite the pain and sleepless nights sometimes. I just hope it will be over within 4 weeks...when my twins arrive and I will need my feet fully operational!!!

Whew...good to get that off my chest!

    Good night!

I know people say to pumice the dead skin but I found that when I left it alone and let the scab fall out on its own, it was painless and permanent. I didnt have to keep treating. When I removed tissue, I must not have been getting all the wart so it continued to grow back.Plus,it was very painful on exposed tissue and not painful at all on the scabs. Just my experience!

Couldn't resist registering on here to comment with my story!

Started off with one big verucca on my toe about 7 years ago, which has gradually got worse and now I have about 15 on my toe! Didn't help getting glandular fever which lowered my immune system, causing them to spread more. Tried everything, today I finally went to a chiropodist who covered them in nitric acid (currently in pain while I type this - ouch!!) Not sure if it will work but im willing to try anything.

Anyway, I've noticed I've started to get the veruccas on my hand now sad must have spread to my finger - I was sooo gutted about this I took to the nail clippers and tried to cut it out. Doubt this has worked its just left me with a very sore finger (stupid idea). Im going to let this heal and try this ACV method on my finger once it's better.

I HOPE to God this works, poxy veruccas are getting me down. I can handle it on my foot but my hands, no way sad Im terrified they will spread more.

Will update once I've tried this....hoping that because its on my finger and fairly new it will be easier to treat (fingers crossed), and also how my toe has reacted to the acid....its so painful right now.

Ok, char. Let me tell you something. Throw those nail clippers away. Now. Don't use them again.

I've already shared a good part of my story here, and the nail clippers were one of the worst choices I've made. Don't try to clean them. To use them again is a risk not worth taking.

By the way, I said I'd make an update when possible: I kind of lost confidence in the skin doctor that I had been going to. I gave up on thinking that wart clearance = enduring pain. So, I researched a lot and found motivating articles about a laser named Nd:YAG as a wart treatment, more specifically, periungal warts on my fingers. Then I found a skin doctor that had the laser.

Well, the new doctor seemed very up to date about the treament, and we discussed about going for Nd:YAG or for the CO2 laser. Based on his expertise, he said that, if it were him on the spot, he would for the CO2. Though it is a bit painful (the Nd:YAG is pain-free), it could clear the warts in 1 session, also the follow-up would be longer.

Well, this was like 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I had the CO2 treatment. It did hurt a little, but nothing compared to the nitric acid + cryotherapy. All I felt was the anesthesy needle and a little a pain a couple of hours after the procedure. I'll need to change the bandages soon, after taking a shower.

The wart area gets pretty damaged, but I managed to watch the doctor during the procedure, and I am confident that he did a pretty good job.

don't get me wrong. I know this is a space regarding treatment with ACV, but I promised I would give an update after my long sad story, and here it is. I will see my doctor in 3 weeks. I'll have an update for you guys by then.

Wish me luck. That's what I wish for you too.

      And don't give up, Char!

Hello, I've stopped the nail clippers! The verruca on my hand has gone thanks to the ACV, just my foot to contend with now.

How did the laser treatment go? I'm thinking of trying it if the ACV doesn't work, as a last resort.

Omg I am so glad I found this. My daughter started off with one verucars which spread to 7 over both feet whilst I tried many of the over the counter remedies and even high strength stuff from the doctor and all that happened was tears from the pain of freezing which never worked she then fell over and managed to get a wart where the cut had been on her knee so she wouldn't wear anything without it being covered. I saw this post after scouring the net and the wart on the knee was gone in two days the verucars took the two weeks and ended up looking like blood blisters under the skin. I dug out the black scab type substance with a pin which didn't hurt as the skin was dead and hay presto they are all gone leaving holes where new skin can grow back here's hoping they stay away but his has been the only method that has actually shown any sign of working so will recommend it to anyone who has these irritating and sometimes embarrassing things thank you for sharing your experiance if u hadn't the next step was costly bills to have them removed xx
