*What Tips do You Have for Everyone or Natural Items You are Using for Your CMV or EVB Mono?
Posted , 4 users are following.
I have noticed a lot of different tips in different posts, so maybe we can bring them all together so we can share our ideas and tips.
**Just curious what others have found helpful with this mono experience, and what you might think might be of use to all of us soldiering through Mono.
I have CMV mono, confirmed by doctor in February, 2018. Still in diagnosis process as to why this type of virus activated.
*Taking Elderberry two weeks on and two weeks off (Sambucol brand, it’s a natural antiviral).
*Vitamins: A,B,C,D (B-complex), probiotics, multivitamins and flax oil.
*Diet: lower carb/higher protein/whole grains diet, I juice too.
*Exercise: Cannot go to the gym right now as probably most of you, but I do maintain a little daily walking routine with a Fitbit. I have another condition, so I have to (temperately of course) exercise 3-5days a week.
What else can we do to feel better? What are your thoughts and ideas? I would love any new ideas to try, I think most here would. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Hi Jen,
It does sound like you are being very sensible and doing everything possible to help yourself - every credit for that, it's all you can do! B complex / co-enzyme Q10 too can be really good as they can be the 'spark of life' and give energy and more ability for the body to copy under the stress of the virus. Other herbs like siberian ginseng, echinicea and oregano have helped me in the past for viruses and the likes too.

Hi Jen, you and I were diagnosed at a similar time, so it will be interesting to see if we progress to wellness at the same rate.
my supplements are:
colloidal silver
L-lysine
Oregano oil
Olive leaf extract
Executive vitamin Bs
Vitamin E
Selennium
Curcummin
Magnesium
CoQ10
digestive enzyme with a pre and pro biotic
ive just started taking bi carb of Soda in water as it’s supposed to help with inflammation and anti viral too.
ive cut right down on Carbs, Dairy and Sugar and I have found the nausea has virtually gone as has the bloated feeling in the stomach after eating.
for a long time I was eating preprepared soups as I found them easy to digest and would have fresh banana and frozen berries as they digested well. I would have salads when I was up to chopping things up.
im taking Panadeine forte which is paracetamol and 30mg codeine in the morning and Mersondyl which has the paracetamol, 9mg codeine and a muscle relaxant in it at night ( I take this with Melatonin) and I sleep pretty well, but do wake up during the night with a very dry mouth. I feel I could do with taking more of the Panadeine Forte during the day, but I’m worried I’ll become addicted/dependent on the Codeine part of it. It does help though for a few hours.
some of my supplements I take are to (hopefully) ward off esophageal cancer as both my sister and brother passed away from that recently.
Id be interested to know what everyone else is taking/doing to fight off this (these in our case) virus/es.

HI Amanda,
So sorry to read about your sister and brother, sending thoughts and prayers and deepest sympathies. You have been through such a tough time and I just really hope things improve and get better - it sounds like you're doing all the right things with the herbs / vitamins, some great advice there for sure.
Thinking about you and still believing you're going to get better, God is with you and heals I truly believe that.

How about everyone else?Amanda is right, there are a handful of us diagnosed with this silly virus all around the same time. I might pick up some of the Q10 a few of you are taking.

Hi Jen,
I definitely think this can be normal during recovery, I was up and down quite a lot with it during recovery. Learning to manage your activity is not always easy and frustrating when you just want to be back to normal! But that time when you're back to 100% will come Jen, I thought it wouldn't with me after many months of hardship with it, but it came good over a period of time and your body resilience returns and then you will feel able to cope with exercise and normal activity again without worrying about the after effects - most definitely!

Things will come together Amanda, hang in there and it will come you have a good full day then two then a week and keep going that way until full recovery - I really believe that. You're so right that the virus causes so many weird and nasty symptoms, hoping you feel better soon.
