1 month old baby getting red looking moles on face

My 1 month old baby has 4 red looking moles on his face. They are really tiny you cant really see them from far away, but I can see them up close.  I am VERY nervous, and VERY scared.  Does anyone know what they could be?  I am a first time mom and I am very scared they may multiply, or grow larger :-(

Maybe Petechiae. I am 31 and I've always had such tiny blood red spots on various places on my body, I can count around 8 of them that have never changed for as far back as I can remember. My brother has them too. It maybe natural and nothing serious. So don't panic. Anyway see a doc if it'll make you feel better.

I have had small red dots for as long as I can remember. I am not sure when they appeared of course, but they don't seem to have any effect on me. My father had them too.

Hi Jen, new mothers worry about everything!  You should ask at your baby clinic.

Are you in the US?  I don't know the system there but in the UK, new mothers can see thei Health Visitor, or GP for advice.

Your baby will sense that you are worried, so go and see someone soon, before you build this up into something that it isn't!

    Good luck.
