1 month post hardware removal and pain

I have just had my ankle hardware removal surgery back on May 3 and the doctor said i should wait 6 weeks before any cutting sports or activities. I've started to play basketball and even run on the treadmill and noticed that after a solid 5 minutes of running or playing the sport that the bottom of the foot of the injured ankle was starting to hurt. this made it hard for me to run, jump and even walk. I would like to know if this is normal and if it just takes time for it to go away, or am I doing something wrong by putting to much stress on it. please reply asap.

    Hi

    George,

You didn't say what you had done. I had an ankle fusion and then had hardware removed. I can't run anymore or play basketball. So you are doing well, I would suggest you take it easy for a while longer. I am now 18 months after original surgery and still improving.
