1 pupil larger , Optic nerve blurry Urgent referal made..

Hi

I went for my eye test today, hadn't been in a while(4 years) but figured I better get myself there plus my glasses are broken.

After examination I was told my left pupil is larger then the right, ive not been to this particular opticians before so they had non of my previous records but I'm certain I've never been told this before. My prescription is very short sighted(-3.75 ish) and I have astigmatism both eyes.

I asked if that was the cause she said no. She also said(im not sure if I'm wording the terminology correct) my optic nerve line looked smudged in that eye where it should usually be a sharp line? she did say this can be common in short sightedness ect.

I then had to go back and do the other tests as she wasn't happy with results and i went on to do the test where the dots flash just using my left eye n I couldnt see all the flashing dots. Im really really worried and haven't stopped crying since getting home im only 34 and have a young child.

Shes referred me for a urgent hospital app n I should get a letter within the month.

Ive not noticed the pupil size before its not hugely noticeable but it is there. I have covid in summer. This weekend my child accidentally banged me right at the top of my nose and I thought I may get a black eye so wondering if that could be the cause?

Looked at pictures from last month and cant notice the pupil size difference but saying that I didn't even notice it anyway.

They did say my left larger pupil is responding to light it is just larger in size. Reading google and all I can seem to see is brain tumors ect.

I paid for the special scan(forgot name begins with O) n that came back clear.

Any ideas whats going on? I do get headaches now and again but I work a really stressful job and don't drink enough(or eat probably) no other symptoms really.
