1 week hospital stay for diverticulitis and now facing resection surgery. What is recovery?

2016 hospitalized with diverticulitis then fine until November 2020. Been on antibiotics 4 times since November as well as hospitalized for 1 week and now back on antibiotics. Surgery scheduled for June 3 and am really nervous and dreading. please let me know what the recovery might look like. I will be having a laparoscopic assisted surgery, so I will have a decent sized incision too? thank you.
