1 year since my Hydrocele procedure, still on/off swelling

Had the procedure on 5/28/20, it's now almost a month after the one year mark, and the area still swells up, back and forth, throughout the day. I thought about going back to get it checked up on. It especially swells up when I have to use the bathroom, and sometimes goes down after I do so, though not always. Some days, it's just swollen without having to go.

This past November, my urologist told me that everything looked fine, and that the only swelling was from scar tissue, so IDK. I really am sort of regretting getting the op done, instead of maybe just dealing with it for a year or so, to see if it would go away on its own.

I really don't want to have another procedure. I'm in middle rural TN, and this urologist is the only one in the area. Good guy and seems to know his stuff, and the procedure by itself went great with little to no pain. But I just wish I knew what the hell was going on. Ever since having the hydrocele, I've also had what seem to be urination/incontinence issues. Sometimes I can't hold it for more than a few minutes, and also, whenever I do go, it literally just "dribbles" out toward the end, sort of like what a water hose does when you shut it off and squeeze out the remainder of water. I have to dab the area with tissue as the top always is soaked in urine after I go, and even after I do so, drops of urine always seem to be wanting to come up. So I just forget them and leave/move on.

I think 2018 was the last year that I remember things being normal.

Hi Mark I see you are still having issues after a long spell. If you are not in pain I think may be leave it alone .Unless it gets to the size of a grape fruit . Regards John

I don't think it gets to that size, but it does swell back up the original size that it was before surgery.

It seems to do so especially when I have to use the bathroom, though sometimes it occurs without that. So I'm not sure. Outside of that, when it doesn't swell, it feels more loose, and closer to normal range as it used to be a few years ago. I may go back to just get checked another time for a second opinion, but if nothing comes of it, then I'll definitely just have to live with it.
