10 weeks after bunion and hammer toe implant surgery

The last few days the swelling under my hammer toes where I had the implants seems to have got woprse. I also feel incredibly stiff in the toes. I am worried something has gone wrong?, Could I have damaged the implants? Actually my foot always feels really tight and stiff and is a constant irritation. When I wake in the mornings I can feel the tightness and discomfort from the implants. It really drives me mad! Anyone else had or have similar experience with hammer toe implants?

    hi john well i had mine done 2 years ago  and in constant pain they told me take 3 years and had all my toes done on right foot  and they have all gone crooked worst than than they was  know waiting for surgon letter have 2/3/4th toes amputate as i cant hardly walk  you do get sweling  some of it is scar tissue my implants when they was removes broke off still got bits in feet good luck mine was really bad john

      Hi Chrissie sorry to hear of your experience.. I must say your pictures do not encourage me at all!. How many implants did you have and did the toes go straight to start with or not? The implant in my third toe did not aligne properly and I may have to have it removed. But the one in the second toe apparently fused ok but it is underneath that one that I have the feeling of swelling like a ball under my foot. I am beginning to wish I had never had this foot surgery and definitely not the hammer toe implants. What went wrong with yours please?

    hi john.... me again !!! john i did not have implants but everything you are saying i am going through... both my feet are still tight, painfull, swollen and still goes through the purple colours... as soon as i get up in the mornings and weight bare the tightness underneath my foot where i had the hammer toe pinned seems like something is stretching very tight...if i go to straighten my toes abit.. i feel this sore painful pulling and the feeling of the swollen ball under the foot prevents my toes from touching the floor... even though my scars have almost cleared the stinging in that area is also bad... like someone putting tiny pins all over your feet... even my hands john are swollen and hurt... and i get a stabbing stinging pain in my fingers too... i thought this may be a nerve thing because so much happening in the feet area... even my nail beds hurt... one min no pain then all of a sudden in the nail bed.... stinging shooting pains... no two days are the same so even at ten weeks pain, stinging burning swelling the whole lot still shows its face... John i am sure you are ok, the body has a way of showing issues if anything is major wrong... i am sure your going through a normal healing process but our journey is a long drawn out one... keep positive and dont over do things, i know you like to get out, but also resting is a good healer too, i have my laptop, my foot rest and a cold air fan all set up in my lounge and guess it will have to remain this way for some time yet... but hey heres to a better summer next year x
