10 weeks in....just need a pep talk

Posted , 7 users are following.

10 weeks total. Six weeks on 20mg. Now 4 weeks on 30mg. Had about a week of good days this past week (after side effects lessened from the dose increase). However, Ive been anxious and down again these past two days. I know the up and down is normal, but it is so frustrating. Any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. We have so much stuff coming up (which is probably feeding the anxiety) and I dont want to miss it because Im too anxious to leave my house.

Hey Laura! What do you do for your daily routine with this high anxiety? It seems like everyday is revolved around this .

I have more anxiety now than before on this med as well. I just went to 10 mg.

I was on it before as well and it worked within 4 to 6 weeks . I was on 12 weeks of 20 mg and lowered to 10 now . Thought it would work like last time but no go so far.

Its hard to function with daily life which is not good since summer is coming.

I know how you feel about the summer. Today is my kids first day home for summer break and I spent half the day in my room 😦 I take my meds around 7:30am. I usually take .25mg of Xanax around that time. If I can make myself get up and going, I usually do better. If I cant, I try to do deep breathing and watch tv or work to distract myself. I work from home so thankfully, I can still so my job with all of this going on. Typically by lunch time/early aftetnoon, regardless of how the morning goes, I am fine and anxiety goes away. I also take magnesium mid day and that seems to help. I take another .25mg of Xanax when I go to bed some nights. I just added CBD oil yesterday to see if that will help. We'll see. Ive heard of many people who have had some success with it, so we will see.
