I am 10 weeks this wed on 30 mg of celexa. i have had good days, and moments, even had a great week at 6 weeks, but the past three have been really just down, anxious, and worrying. I have horrible health anxiety. Im sleeping much better, but it is the racing thoughts, just want to feel like myself again. my psychiatrist mentioned upping to 40 mg after the holidays. I stay tired and just like I dont really want to do alot. I am a teacher and this ear has been all but normal. just need some advice. I also go to counsiling.

Hi Ashley , if it was me I would wait sometimes you not some bad spots and I think it takes a long time to fully kick in alot of people don't get the full affect for a few months so hang in there girl it will get better❤

i think you need to give 30mg plenty more time to work. if you've had good days, it's a sign these tablets are working. you need to give it months, not weeks to level out and upping a dose isn't always the answer.

it is hard, I fully understand but patience seems to be the key.

well done for working through this - I was layed off before my anxiety and haven't felt well enough to find another job yet.

    Hi Ashley,

i had my psychiatrist appointment yesterday and i asked her about having meds checked, she mentioned that 8-10wks is still very early on and needs atleast another month to have its full effect. I hope this small bit of info helps you. x
