10 yo Daughter Right Buttocks Hurts

Hello,

My 10yo daughter is not walking right and complaining of pain deep in right buttocks. When she walks up the stairs and lifts her left leg to step up, she has pain in right buttocks area. She is an athlete and cant run normal. She has been resting and icing for a week but it still hurts.

I'm not sure if this is a high hamstring pull or something I need to bring her to a doctor for.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

yes it could be a high hamstring pull but it could also be a torn ligament in her buttock. Does she have a professional trainer? Something has gone wrong here, especially for a 10 yr old. If you are in UK see your doctor. These things can take a very long time to diagnose so do get her to rest and maybe see a sports physiotherapist who specialises in childrens problems. Dont ignore it...she is too young to be suffering like this.
