100% erectile dysfunction continues. Concerned about scrotum.

I recently posted that I was suffering from complete erectile dysfunction.

I would now say that my last daytime erection was one month ago.  Obviously I am not sure about while I am asleep, but suspet not much goes on then either.

Since my last post, the doctor said some hormone blood tests: prolactin and testosterone were within normal ranges.

As it is easier in warm water, I have been examining my penis, testicles and scrotum in the bath.

There are no lumps on the testicles, but there are lots of veins down there, and some of the veins have nodules on them, which I have never noticed before.  But then neither have I had erectile dysfunction before, neither suddenly as now, or any othr way.

Any ideas?

    How old are you?

do you masturbate or look at porn?

are you overweight and do little exercise?

    do you smoke?

I am 45, but I was 45 a month ago, too, before this happened.

I can't masturbate at present as there is nothing really to do it with.

I am no more than 7 pounds / 3kg overweight.

      I have never smoked.

Again, I would stress the suddenness of this ... more than 4 weeks ago no problem; since 4 weeks ago: no erections.

I would say first find your nearest sexual health clinic and see a urologist to check out those veins. Then, and perhaps more importantly, see your personal doctor and ideally get a referral to a cardiologist. The goal is to rule out any potentially very serious cardiovascular diseases, which impotence can be a symptom of. Do you have a history or strokes and/or heart attacks in your family?

There is now a burning pain the scrotum - worse after gentle exmination -  and pain in the back above the buttocks, hip joints and also going down to the knees which feels like referred pain (the type of pain is similar to the pain in the scrotum).

I still have not achieved an erection - even a semi one, so that is 5 weeks now, and no orgasm or ejaculation.

By the way, it does not sound like it would be related, but I have also not passed faeces for one week.  It is not painful but is now uncomfortable and is VERY unusual for me.

I cannot get a GP appointment for 2 weeks.  Do you think this is now worthy of a trip to A&E at the general hospital close by.

    Thanks.

Two weeks ago, erectile function returned, apparently spontaneously.  This includes ejaculation and orgasm.

I had been tapering-off a very high dose (375mg) of venlafaxine, so I am blaming that.

Coincidentally, I also had ten days of total constipation.

My meds have now been switched to Mirtazapine and Trazodone, a well as fibre drink to aid bowel movements.
