100 mg Sertraline anxiety has lasted all day!!!!

I’ve been shaking and out of it and anxious all day...been on 100mg after being on 50 for a month and 75 for a week. Has anyone else felt like this? It’s been terrible today. Left a message with my doctor but probably won’t hear back til tomorrow or Monday. I don’t even want to take it tonight I feel so terrible.

    I was the same after going from 50mg to 100mg. it got better, cant quite remember now, but im sure it started calming down after a couple of days. Hope you feel better soon, it should pass. G

      How did you handle it when it was at the worst? I think I did increase too fast as someone suggested in a previous post so I’m not going to take it today to give my body a chance to level out and then either do 50 or 75 tomorrow but I don’t know which yet it depends on how I feel I guess

      Did your doctor give you anything to help with the increased anxiety as you up your dose.  Diazepam is good short term while you adjust.  It will settle as you get used to the new dose.   Try deep breathing and look at relaxation excercises on you tube.  X

      I have klonopin but haven’t taken any since last weekend. I was stuck at work today and didn’t have any. The worst of it all is it really is helping the depression! So I don’t want to stop the medicine. Maybe just spend some more time on either 50 or 75. I know if I was having some kind of allergic reaction it’s not going to happen a month later, I just haven’t had any kind of anxiety since starting this medicine so this was unexpected and I wasn’t prepared for it. I’m still not feeling like myself mentally.

    Hi Darla, don’t worry it will pass and it’s normal I felt exactly the same, what time do you take your pill ? I started taking mine when I finished work that way I was at home when and  a sleep through the worst of the symptoms, stick with it and don’t worry  it’s just getting used to the increase xxx

      I’ve been taking mine in the evening as well usually around dinner time. Today I took half a dose so 50mg a few hours late. I think I’ll stick at 50 until I hear from the doctor. I know it’s normal to go through but hearing it and then feeling that way are two different things! I take the medicine for depression and then the medicine gives me anxiety lol. Double edged sword.
