100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!
Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!! Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.
Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.
Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.
Now for the Treatment that I used daily :
From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.
12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.
Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:
Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.
After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.
Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).
I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…
This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.
Good Luck to all and may god help you!

Hi, great to hear that. How much improvement did you get until now? How many months? Can you give the details to encourage the others?
Thanks

I started feeling improvement within a week of starting probiotics. But it took probably 3 months before I saw the major improvement. I can now eat whateever and whereever I want (with an exception of beef)......
MY QUESTION: Although I cannot ask for more at this stage as this regime has been a life-saver for me, but out of my curiosity, will I ever be normal without the probiotic supplements? If I try to skip probiotics even for a single day the symptoms reoccur and it takes 4-5 days for the regularization of bowel movement. will I have to take these supplements for the rest of my life?

I think this shows we all need different things as I found no improvement with billions of probiotics and have read time and time again it's the variety not amount of probiotics that count.
I've started taking HCL as well and found massive improvement to my bloating.
Immi - the l glutamine has enabled me to eat beef again after 14 years! Strange you still can't take it.

Hi, I take probiotics almost everyday ( except when I forget), but i never quited Probiotics. I also take L glutamine in a random rotation, like one month I take it and 2 months I do not, or when i fell like it, but this is just for extra maintenace of the bowels. I do not quit because I do beleive that we are prone to get this bowel unbalance of bad bacteria, it is like the people that are prone to migraines or otitis ( ear infection)... In my case I will never take the chance of going back that miserable life, so I just continue with daily probiotics and just take L glutamine once in a while. About your skipping probiotics for a single day, you are still not fully cured, when you fully cure your bowels ( having a total balanced bowel flora where the ecoli bacteria racio is back to normal), then it is not because that you skip a day or two that you will notice a fallback. About taking it for the rest of your life... What is the issue with that? It is better than drugs, and at some point of old age, you will start taking medications for every crappy health condition, thing like for colestrol and all that stuff that old people take,LOL. I am taking a medication to block vitamin "K" in my blood and that is for life.. so taking probiotics and l glutamine? I have no issue with that... and just remember about before you got better, the miserable life you had with sibo/IBS, taking probiotics to keep it away is no sacrifice! About the probiotics, when you fully cure yourself, then you may start decreasing the amout of bacteira in the probiotic intake until you find what fits you. I just take 12 million strains now ( way less than your 34 billion and cheaper). But for now, since you are not a 100% cured, stick to your dosage which is working for you and only after you feel that you have recovered 100% is when you start testing on the reduction of the amount of probiotics that you take.
Good Luck

I would say the amount of the correct variety. I tried several diferent types of probiotics and what I have seen is that some work faster than others. So yes, variety is also an important factor in this. I have never checked which varietys count the most, I would just change brands.
But the brand that worked the best for me had the following bacteria strains:
-Bifidobacterium Lactis
-Bifidobacterium Breve
-Bifidobacterium Longum
-Lactobacillus acidophilus
-Lactobacillus casei
-Lactobacillus plantaram
-Lactobacillus paracasei
-Lactobacillus salivarius
-Lactobacillus rhamnosus
-Lactobacillus bulgaricus
This was all in a 50 billion daily capsule. This probiotic was the best one I have taken during my treatment.

You could try aloe vera juice, lowering glutamine doses.
Slowly aloe vera can replace the L-glutamine and probiotics also.

Sorry, but that information is wrong. Glutamine is glutamine and probiotics is probiotics... I have tried Aloe Vera Juice before my treatment and it did nothing. But still thanks for trying to help
I will never quit daily probiotics and will take L-Glutamine on random rotational schedules just for bowel health maintenance.

Aloe vera is a Prebiotic.. You can't take it instead of probiotics. Prebiotic and Probiotic.. The Aloe vera would enhance the effectiveness of the Probiotic.
From Livestrong "When prebiotics and probiotics are mixed together, they form a synbiotic. Thus, combining aloe vera and probiotics would form a synbiotic. It has been hypothesized that synbiotics may have additive or synergistic effects on digestive health, meaning there would be more benefits from using both components together than from using either component alone. Therefore, using aloe vera with probiotics may be better for the digestive tract than using either by themselves."
