100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

I've had IBS-D since 2009 and it nearly broke me. First the condition was not diagnosed correctly so I thought I was losing my mind. I worked at the time in an Investment Bank in the UK and slowly a pattern formed that every time I was in a face to face meeting with bankers, lawyers and other execs my bowels would rumble and the terrible D cramps would occur. This led to me developing a panic disorder (eg every meeting or place that I couldn't control when I could come or go eg: passport control lines, being stuck between tube stops etc) which meant a panic attack would occur (beating heart, tingles in the hands/legs and vivid feelings of terror as well as the bowel cramps). I lived each day in worry and only relaxed a bit during evenings and weekends.  A Specialist near London Bridge diagnosed me with IBS many months later. Anti depressants and imodium acted as the bandaid solution there after.

The problems and panic attacks never stopped and life has been pretty tough with my career suffering accordingly (avoidance of certain situations being a go to). I started taking L-Glutamine with probiotics (50-100b) on 24 April 2017 and have continued to, to this date. Small improvements in my symptoms appeared after about 4 weeks. Namely these included slightly more formed stools and less consistent pain in my large intestine.

The improvements inspired me to read a lot more into my condition (more than I ever had) and I fortunately came across Dr Michael Mosley's latest book. From July onwards this year I adhered to his repair diet which meant I completely transformed my diet (no processed foods, no wheat, no dairy excluding cheese and zero sugar).  My bowels have improved and the dull pain in my large intestine appears to be almost gone. I am not cured, but I feel so much better and I will continue with this diet (including the probiotics, L-Glutamine, added Kefir and I am going to experiment with fermented foods to replace the probiotics) for at least the next 6 months.

I will hopefully follow up this post in a few months time with progress.

(Note: I do drink one coffee a day and do drink alcohol on weekends, however only beer now as wine appeared to make things worse).

      Good luck!

Just suggestion - try not to take alcohol while you are on that diet.

Hi Maurice, m so hopeful after checking your post and will definitely try it.

Though I am not sure if this post is still active, I wanna check with everyone on this forum that is your IBS D only bothering you in the morning.

I am 26 year of age, quite active, always followed a health lifestyle but unfortunately griped by post infective IBS D from last 3 months.

I have my flare ups in the morning and everything gets fine by evening (late afternoon).

Is this the case with everyone?

One thing I have realised after seeing 3 gastroenterologist is that doctors can't help this condition, all they know is few standard drug to suppress the symptoms.

It was just today that I visit one doctor, asked him about the supplements that I can add, answer that I got was "do meditation"

Not that meditation won't help, but will definitely not cure it.

Anyways, I am taking Rifaximin from last 10 days along with VSL from last 5 days and haven't seen a significant improvement.

Can I check with you that for how long should I use Rifaximin?

Do you suggest adding supplement like digestive enzymes, fish oil, peppermint oil ?

I hope I can hear back from you.

Thank you for helping others, god bless you.

Hi, after the antibiotics, your journey of healing has only started. You only killed off the bad bacteria and now you have to heal the mucosa walls in your bowels with glutamine which normally takes 3 to 6 months to start seeing any improvements. Go through all the posts to find more answers and explanations, this has already been posted before. Good luck smile

3 years passed from this post, still haven't had the courage to take L-GLUTAMINE.

I heard about so many scary side effects. sad

      What are the side effects?

This is from webmd, Glutamine is POSSIBLY SAFE for most adults when taken by mouth in doses up to 40 grams daily, and when used intravenously (by IV) in doses up to 600 milligrams per kilogram of weight daily.

Well, Google it - "L-Glutamine side effects".

I wanted to learn more about it, why L-Glutamine helps, what does it actually do and so on.

Then I wanted to know how safe is it to take it. After whole day reading all the blogs and websites I have found, possible side effects scared me, to be honest.

I have feeling that it is not yet known how it can affect the body in a long term of taking it.

But from time to time I come here and read new posts if there are any, just to see what people say.

It is wonderful that Maurice had the great experience, that means that others can find relief from their symptoms too. smile

      hi shony

i get your apprehension however find your logic scary - l glutamine is a NATURAL AMINO ACID - not a chemical prescribed by a doctor  -  often drug companies scaremonger worthy treatments as it could mean less revenue etc for them - universities are largely funded by drug companies so doctors are trained to promote their poison -  oh well if you are still of such a mind it is your choice to stay stuck -  fyi below is a basic food list that contains naturally high levels of l-glutamine via dr axe

      Foods with L-Glutamine Benefits

With 70 million Americans now suffering from digestive diseases, it’s apparent that our diets are severely lacking certain nutrients that support the digestive tract. While L-glutamine is synthesized by the body from glutamic acid or glutamate, sometimes the body is unable to produce enough. And when this is the case, your body needs to get it directly from your diet.

L-glutamine is synthesized by the body from glutamic acid or glutamate. If the body is unable to produce enough it needs to get it directly from your diet.

L-glutamine can be found in animal proteins such as meats and dairy, along with plant-based protein sources such as beans, raw spinach, parsley and red cabbage. It’s worth noting, though, that animal proteins are not as easily digestible as plant proteins.

The foods with the most L-glutamine benefits include:

      1. Bone Broth

      2. Grass-fed Beef

      3. Spirulina

      4. Chinese Cabbage

      5. Cottage Cheese

      6. Asparagus

      7. Broccoli Raab

      8. Wild Caught Fish (Cod, Tuna and Salmon)

      9. Venison

      10. Turkey

I recommend consuming at least three servings of these L-glutamine-rich foods daily.

wonder what the side affects are from eating turkey???

      blessings all

Hi, I have been on glutamine on and off up to this date and still ok and healty. Check WebMD site to read about side effects. It says max 40 grams so stick to 30 grams max, or if you want, just go up to 20 max, it is your choice. Good luck. smile
