100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!
Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!! Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.
Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.
Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.
Now for the Treatment that I used daily :
From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.
12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.
Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:
Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.
After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.
Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).
I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…
This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.
Good Luck to all and may god help you!

I have been suffering for about 10 years. About 3 years ago my doctor prescribed Mebeverine Hydrochloride which didnt work at all for my IBS-D. Then lactibiane tolerance (10 billion bacteria per 2.5 g per capsule) which made be better for few weeks and then it stopped working.
I tried L-Glutamine powder (Optimum Nutrition) on my own and it made me feel better for few weeks and then it stopped working.
Later I tried a combination of Psyllium Husk BP 3.5 g & Mebeverine Hydrochloride BP 0.135 g. which is the one thing so far has given me relief but not 100%. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt but at least for about 6 months it has given me some relief.
Should I give it a try to Rifaximin+GLutamine+Probiotics?

For 25 years I have suffered with IBS D the last 5 years were unbearable and I was at the point of being house bound. L-Glutamine has given me back my life, I haven't felt this good in many many years. It was an almost immediate relief and every month I am feeling better (been 4 months). I urge anyone who has IBS D to try this remedy, it is inexpensive and works wonders.

ive used Saccharomyces Boulardi from health food store a type of probiotic in last year on an as need bases (a more general probiotic otherwise but not too happy with it so will change brands there)and it definitely helps my ibs-c and also my ibs d when it shows up although the D may be caused by other e.g. a poor food choice. However i use food as a medicine as i have several other chronic health challenges and have also for bad gut down on high FODMAPS . also a problem for me to take certain antibiotics as i peripheral neuropathy and some of them may cause permanent more damage but would have to review this one xifaxan and one problem re sibo is i have not illeocecal valve having had a resection.
How were u diagnosed with Sibo?hope these comments r helpful.
ps some brand of SB may say for Diaharrea but i used it mainly for Const so probably for both it works and not a cure unless i just have not taken big enuf doses to establish that - i will have to do more researh as seldom for long even used full suggested dosing.

8th year now, still fighting with the beast. I'm really happy for you Maurice like you're my brother, not only because you cured yourself, but because you proved the medical world wrong. Sibo is curable without a doubt. A good friend of mine (we grew up together, same age, same eating habits - sugar, junk food all day, every day) developed Sibo. At some point it started to really affect his day-to-day life. He couldn't eat well, diarrea, extreme fatigue, brain fog, you know the symptoms. Anyway, somehow he got a prostate infection and he went to see a urologist. He never said anything about Sibo, he went there only for the prostate infection. The doctor put him on antibiotics for many weeks, changing antibiotics every now and then because the bacteria, whatever it was, kept adapting and mutating. So, after many weeks of doing that, at the end of the antibiotic course, the prostate infection was over and Sibo was over too. Just like that. Accidental cure. It's been about 5 years now and he's perfect. No probiotics, no nothing. Before that, he went to every gastroenterologist and all said the same things: Incurable, life-long disease, learn to manage the symptoms. My friend proved that Sibo can be cured, even by accident. Maurice proved it too. My case though is much more complicated. My vagus nerve and the Migrating Motor Complex are slow, and even if I kill the overgrowth, because of the slow vagus nerve and MMC, bacteria repopulate the small intestine and Sibo all over again. I have to try again with allicin that kills archaea, along with everything else, because archaea produce methane and it stops the MMC from working, the peristaltic waves slow down and lose strength. I'll also take prokinetics and try to stimulate the vagus nerve. According to Pimentel, which I highly respect, almost all Sibo relapses happen because of constipation and a slow MMC. And if you search about it, it makes sense. I would manage the overgrowth, feel very good for about 2-3 weeks but at the same time i would be extremely constipated and back to the beginning. It's very tricky, I'll keep trying and hopefully I'll get somewhere.

I logged in after 2 years more or less to help those people who are still suffering IBS (mostly D).
I hope this can help someone, I suffered this sickness for 7 years of my life, i know how irritating, depressing and exhausting it can be.
I did trials of tests and errors, writing all my experiences on foods, triggers, what worked and what didnt.
I really hope someone can benefit from this like I did.
What didnt work
What worked
-Glutamine will help you a lot, but it takes time. Around 2 months non-stop
-Eating less for a while also helped to ease the pain of IBS. it was hard for me to eat less because I felt I was losing already too much weight with my IBS-D, but its better to eat less and digest it well rather than eating a lot and have diarrhea.
From what i read from researches, many of us got IBS after having food poisoning. They say 1 out of 10 person have IBS symptoms after having food poisoning, it seems like we develop food allergy to everything. I couldnt eat lactose, sugar, raw vegetables, fruits after i developed IBS, which is weird if you think about it because I and you never had problem with it before developing IBS.
Now thanks god i can eat everything again, i can feel i have much more energy and my brain seems to be more awake. Its a feeling that you forget you had once in your life.
Try your best, I promise you a life with IBS is not a life. I always thinking on how I envied those people who can eat anything without having stomach problems.
I would had given any amount of my savings to have the cure.
If you have any doubt, dont hesitate to send me a message.

hi guys
i have been going through a similar thing now for 5.5 years. Ive been housebound for all that time and even bedbound for at least 1 year. finally coming out of it. i suffered with shortness of breath as my main and worst symptom but also experienced 80+ symptoms alongside this, digestive stuff being one of them. i had constipation, and at times diarrhoea, gastritis, gastroparesis, skin issues like contact dermatitis, tissue swelling including mouth and tongue, anxiety, panic, you name it, i pretty much had it. I am so pleased to say that i am properly healing now and im not relying on supplements to keep me well which was my experience in the past. i can pretty much each what i want now too and it doesnt send me spiralling backwards like it used to. i have been retraining my brain which is allowing my autonomic nervous system to regulate itself as my fight or flight mechanism would just switch on for seemingly no reason and result in all these weird and wonderful symptoms. there were other things i did too but the main thing that changed everything was the brain retraining. OVER 1 year ago I was bed bound and 2 months ago i went on a trip to WALES and walked for hours along rocky paths and even ate out at an INDIAN restaurant!! i wanted to share so that i could provide another avenue to explore. There is a way out of this guys! keep going youll get there.

Just thought I would check in and let anyone still following this thread know how well I am doing. I started L-Glutamine about 17 months ago and it really has been life changing. It took a long time to get rid of the fear of going out in public and having a bout of diarrhea, but that fear is gone now. I very rarely get D now and if I do it is minor and over quickly. I started doing 20 grams of the powdered L Glutamine a day but have now cut back to just 5 grams a day in the morning on an empty stomach. Occasionally I will take a probiotic but not often. I read an article that said for every year you had IBS symptoms it will take one month of L-Glutamine intake to get back to normal. I had IBS for at least 25 years so that would mean 25 months before my system is back to being the way it should be, I have 8 months to go lol. I can't say enough good things about L-Glutamine, if anyone is considering trying it I say DO IT, it is inexpensive, can be bought anywhere and if it works for you it will give you your life back.

Thank you so much. I trust this experience of yours and will discuss this 'cure' with my nutritionist.
Like you, I will have 25 months to meet the end of this ordeal.
Please tell me how long before you felt the first effects so I can gauge roughly whether it's working or not (and taking into account body differences if course)

thank you Light - i sure do know the misery of uncontrolled explosive bowel issues in situations where there are no close facilities or wipes - did you read my message yesterday about coffee? i love coffee but since last May have had one real coffee that reactivated my crohnes and/or colitis within 1/2 hour - at the start of my first holiday away in years !!! with my husband who has severe dementia ! i asked my gastro who said (unknown to me at that point!) that coffee indeed can be a trigger for some people! just sharing this - the coffee i used to drink was organic and grown on the tropical island we lived on - i now have acute coffee nose and get high on the aroma which is enough for me to be content - my workmates provide the opportunity for me to indulge my senses ! i certainly averaged more than one a day before May last year

I was fortunate that I felt the effects almost immediately, it seems to have gotten better and better each month that passes. I started with just one scoop 5 grams a day and worked my way up to 4 scoops and stayed at that dose for almost a year and then started taking less. I only take 1 scoop a day now. I feel like a new person now.

I am not on a restricted diet. I use to be careful of trigger foods but since the L Glutmaine has worked so well for me I can eat anything. I hope you find some solution to this terrible condition. IBS took over my life, I thought of it all day long, was scared to leave the house. I have done so well on L Glutamine I wish everyone the outcome I have had.
