100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

    Hello Maurice,

I would like to give you some feedback about the outcome of this treatment even though it is too early:

    ·         Targaxan 550 mg: 2 tablets per day (the equivalence of Xifaxan). Start day 20/12/2014-Finish day 02/01/2015 (2 weeks)

    ·         50 Billion Probiotic: Once Daily /Start day 03/01/2015

    ·         L Glutamine: 4 times a day of 20 mg/Start day 10/01/2015

So far there is a bit of improvement where I do not have any more diarrheas but the stool is still semi hard & sometimes loose. What concerns me is that I am always having excess of gas all day long & bloating from time to time during the day.  Is it because of the L-Glutamine? According to what I read about SIBO treatment that after this treatment, the problem of gas should slow down or simply stop. Can you tell me what was your case after the SIBO treatment & do you think I should have taken Targaxan 550mg for a month instead of 2 weeks?

    Thanks for answering

Sorry to rectify this: I meant L Gluatamine 4 times of 10 mg/day which makes it 20 mg/day.

      Sorry again, it's 4 times of 05 mg/day

Hi, about the gas, I think that it may be related to the probiotics, try to change brand or dosage, or just hang in and wait to see if it goes away after a while. I never had any gas problems during the treatment. About the antibiotic you are taking, I cannot say much, only you can check with you doctor. I took 1200 mg of Xifaxan for a period of 30 days, I just have checked my last doctor whom was the only one who pointed me in the right direction of achieving my cure.

Keep a journal of the foods u eat. Especially eating out. Fried foods are fried in rancid oils and tainted with other bacteria. U never know what's added to the food either.

Once u learn what foods set u off then y u can avoid them. I suffered so long and terrible cramps all the time. I knew where every restroom was in the state. Now we have GPS systems helps in new areas. LOL

I very seldom NOW have any stomach irritation. Yogurt with live good bacteria I eat every day. I'm careful what I eat on an empty stomach. Essential ...

No sugar or chocolate which I love. Occasionally once I eat the proper foods first I can have small amount of sweets. I only eat fried foods if I make it at home with coconut oil or avacado oils. Most other oils is a no.. No for me?

I also take L-Glutamine but stopped now. Just yogurt no sugar or fruit. Some fruits I cannot eat as well as some veggies.

Everyone is different no one size fits all method works for everyone. We have to pay more attention to what we eat and keep track of what we cannot eat .

      Kudos too you!

Hi Karim. You have to one thing straight first. Maurice's treatment only heals the gut. In that process of healing, It doesn't eliminate the symptoms immediately like antibiotics, you will still experience symptoms because your gut isn't actually healed yet. So until then, you should follow some kind of ibs diet which avoids all trigger foods. I go for the SCD diet and after 1 month, I have no gas/bloating 95% of the time.

Thank you very much for all these advices. It looks that this therapy is not really working on me even though I did take an antibiotic  Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) for 2 weeks & am still on L-Glutamine and Probiotics since almost 02 months but not much difference before starting this treatment. I will carry on until the end & hopefully my situation will improve.

Hi Jayden. Can you tell me what is SCD diet you did and after 1 month you had no gas/bloating at 95%. Many thanks

Hi, have you tested to check if you have microscopic colitis or anything related? The treatment is based on healing the bowel wall permeability due to Sibo, but leaky gut may have other causes like microscopic colitis.

Try to add high doses of vitamin D to try to see if it helps, if it helps, then the root cause may be your immune system is unbalanced which can affect the guts. Some people have reported to get better with high doses of vitamin D. About the amount of time, it took me 6 months to get to the cure, while others took less and others may take longer. I guess it depends on the extent of the damage already inflicted on the bowels lining. The suggestion of vitamin D is just a theory which you can try to prove if is it valid, you have nothing to lose to try it. Good luck.

Hi, sorry, I meant lymphocytic colitis. Try to add high doses of Vitamin D to see if you get any futher improvement.

Hi, lymphocytic colitis negative but I will try high doses of vitamin D to see if this wil get any improvement. I also think that XIFAXIN for 2 weeks (550mg -2 times a day ) wasn't enough (couldn't wipe off all bad bacteria possible) &  doesn't match 1200mg for 1 month. Maybe I should have taken 3 times a day for 2 weeks. What do you think?

      Thanks

      Which is better ,,,

      1200mg for 1 month (OR)  2 weeks (550mg -three times a day

    Hi Maurice,

I am wondering what your diet was like while you cured yourself with the L-Glutamine / Probiotics. I am just not eating the obvious junkfood crap / sweets and no gluten, but I do for example eat rice - should I? What were the things you didn't eat?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, rice is ok, about what you should not eat, avoid your trigger foods and use common sense because you only need to avoid what is known as bad for our digetive system, like acohol, spices, etc. I never made a list of things to eat, just stayed away from what I though was bad for me, like junk food, acohol, etc.

    Great news Maurice,

ur ur system is very similar to mine. I like to eat yogurt with live good bacteria to keep my gut happy.

I also know all to well about antibiotics. IT killes all the good bacteria in the gut so I take Diflucan prescription with the anti biotic eating lots of live bacteria in yogurt has helped me tremendously.

thanks for sharing and UR support.

    kind regards

Hi, I took 1200mg daily of xifaxan for 30 days. Do not forget to take probiotics and l-glutamine at least 3 hours after taking Xifaxan which kills all the bacterias in the gut. Good luck

My doctor will not prescribe xifaxan, just keeps suggesting ibs tablets which do not work.  Where can I buy xifaxan?
    • Posted

Hi, some doctors refuse to listen to others and are too proud to hear suggestions, which i call those doctors block heads. Try to go to another doctor to try to get the medical prescription because Xifaxan is only obtained by medical prescription.

If you really do not manage to get the prescription, then try to skip the antibiotics and start then with the l-glutamine and probiotics. This may make it longer to obtain the desired results since you skipped the Xifaxan, but of course it is better than nothing. Good luck

Thanks so much for your help.  As I cannot get the antibiotics, I have started taking the l-glutamine and probiotics as you say and am trying to eat a bland diet with lots of probiotic yoghurts.  My stomache is less distended than it was , though now i am getting diarroah, where as I have always suffered constipation,  do you think this is just the l-glutamine and probiotics causing this..

      hi maurice ,,

Just wanna add Vitamin D3 High Doses ,,, while we are in Rifaximin and Probiotics , Glutamine treatment ?

Does Vitamin D3 high Dose like 5000IU to 10000IU interacts with any of these?

    • Posted

Hi, it may be from the brand of probiotics, try to see if your body adapts to it after a while, or try other brands or dosages. L-Glutamine can only create a contipating effect in some pepole.
    • Posted

Hi, vitamin D is ok, it does not interact with the treatment, it even may be  beneficial in some cases. I actually take Vitamin D 5000 UI now because I checked my blood recently and it was very low.

Plzz suggest ... everyone who are suffering ...to get tested for Vitamin D3 as it is playing a vital role in IBS  ...

I took 2 pills (1200 mg total) a day for 30 days. But my doctor told me that the treatment can be up to 3 pills a day for 30 days or more. This antibotic does not go into the bloodstream, it only stays in the bowels.
