100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

Hello friends. This is my first entry here. I started taking probiotics and glutamine at 17/1/2015. A few days after I started the supplements I found this thread. Many of you have really done your homework, especially Father Maurice. If one person managed to cure him/herself from this life-altering disease I’m very happy. Despite what doctors say that you have to learn to live with it. Would the good doctor like to live with it? Just for a month to get a taste what it feels like. I admire people who search and take their life and health in their own hands. Many of you, if not all, have experienced that doctors are clueless and useless but that’s a whole different discussion on its own. Now I’m 3 months into the treatment but I can’t say anything yet because it’s too soon. The supplements I use at the moment are 1 cap Vsl 112 billion probiotics with 10 gr glutamine 40 min before breakfast, 1 tablet zinc picolinate 22mg with lunch (I started zinc less than a month ago) and 10 gr glutamine about an hour before dinner. I didn’t go the antibiotic way because the percentage of people who might get adverse long term effects is high enough to dissuade me. In 3-4 months I’ll be able to come to safer conclusions. The reason I write today is because I would like to hear your opinion about a theory that’s been floating around and regards probiotics. It’s just a theory like dozens out there but a very intresting one nonetheless.  Many studies have been conducted in the medical community about the use of probiotics, most of them contradicting. Many people have the misinformation to think that the small intestine is sterile. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The small intestine is divided in 3 parts. The first part is called Duodenum and contains 101 to 103 CFU (Colony Forming Units) per mL of fluid, the second part is Jejunum and contains 103 to 106 of CFU/mL and the last part is Ileum and contains 106 to 108 of CFU/mL. Of course these percentages vary from person to person but that’s considered to be the standard. As you can see the small intenstine does contain microorganisms. When a person has SIBO the intestinal flora in the small intestine increases drastically in numbers both good and bad especially the bad ones like candida which otherwise are kept in check by the immune system, fermenting on almost everything you eat, releasing toxins, damaging the intestinal tract, compromising the immune system which in turn can’t keep the flora in check, they multiply even more and so on and so forth, it’s a vicious cycle. In extreme cases of SIBO the microorganisms eat most of the food you eat, depriving you from nutrients making you lose weight. The theory I mention here says that you don’t need more probiotics because you already have more that your body can handle. So if you take probiotic supplements you’re actually doing more harm than good. What you can do is take glutamine, zinc, vitamins whatever it’s helpful, obviously you need to keep a clean diet according to your intolerances that’s the most important thing, slowly heal the gut which in turn boosts the immune system which in turn helps keep the intestinal flora in check. What do you think about this theory? Have you ever heard anything about it?

what u said about probiotics varies from person to person .

some people cant tolerate even 1 VSL#3 capsule(112.5 billion) ,,,but some people can tolerate upto 8 capsules ( recommened 2-8 capsules as mentioned in the box ) ...

so finally ,,, see what ur body tells u while taking .. if u r okay with ,,say 2-4 capsules ... that means ur body needs them ...and if u r not okay with that ,,,lessen the dose as ur body doesnt need that much,,,

      Hi

I've heard that theory too, but can find nothing to substantiate it. That being said, the probiotics one takes are supposed out-compete the pathogenic flora for food. The big difference is that they to not excrete the toxic byproducts / gases that the anaerobes/pathogens(bad bugs) expel, thus causing inflamatory issues & GI distress. ( e.g. Diarrhea, bloating etc). Anyhow, this makes sense to me with my Microbiology background.

My  intuition make me think that Maurice is onto something here as I've noticeda discernible   improvement in my issues since starting on his recommended regimen. Am curious what others have to say though....

Hi, I also have read in the past about the tests that proved that the doctors were wrong about their theory that the small bowel had no bacteria and only the large bowel had the good and bad bacteria. Just like they have proven themselves wrong contradicting the theory that the appendix had no function in the human body and then they have found out that is where the good bacteria is stored for the bowels. Doctors still have a lot of theories about the human guts, but they only have superficial knowledge about the bowels. About the probiotics, my story is that I started first on L-glutamine and i felt the improvement during five months, but still I was only 50% better and I felt that I reached my limit of improving. But when I took the antibiotic and then the probiotics with L-Glutamine together that was a life changer for me. With the full treatment, I reached my cure for my IBS / SIBO. And my theory is that If I had this bad bacteria imbalance before, it has a good probability of happening again. So I will not take the risk and stick with my daily probiotics. It has been 1 year and 4 months and I am 100% OK, I have never been better. But that is my theory... I can see that you also have done your homework about it, you got my respect smile Good luck with your treatment.

I also agree here with Smccart, the only thing that we have to figure out is what is the acceptable dosage that our body can take at maximum. But of course if you go over you body limit, you will notice and just go to the loo as an side effect. That is what happened to me in the past. The good bacteria is essential for us to live because they are the microorganisms that help us absorb the nutrients from the food in our bowels, without them, we would just die.

wt i read about probiotics is that ,,,

Sibo is mainly due to bad bacteria rather than good bacteria ,,, if u add PROBIOTICS ,, good bacteria accumulate in small intestines and  fight with bad bacteria thereby slowly increasing the number of good bacteria in small intestines ,,, so later when there's no bad bacteria left in the small intestine ... slowly good bacteria decreses in count in small intestine ,,( about the theories where they dont belong) and goes through the feces ,,,

so if u daily add PROBIOTICS theres no harm as ... good bacteria just passes through small intestine ,,,then though the colon and finally in the feces ,,,

So,, finally theres no harm in taking PROBIOTICS .... wt so ever ... PROBIOTICS acts as a platform for gut issues.

U can try without PROBIOTICS for the cure ,,,but it takes lots of time to cure .

    Hey Maurice,

I am inspired by your treatment and you've made it seem very easy and simple.

I am a sufferer of IBS/SIBO for over 19yrs. I I have tried all kinds of things and nothing has worked.

I wanted to know if while you were in the phase of antibiotics and killing the bacteria, did you maintain a specific diet?

Or just ate as you wish but took you Antibiotics course along with the probiotics and L Glutamine?

    Thanks again,

    Nick

      heyi nick ,

forget about IBS for a second ,, now think u just got a cold or flu ,,what would u do ,,, u have to avoid all foods n drinks ( cold drinks , juices etc,, ) ..and normally cold or flu will be gone within 3 r 4 days ,,, and u can eat n drink normally ..

So ,,now coming to IBS/SIBO ... u got a serious condition ,, where u have to avoid all the FOODS which irritate the gut lining ,,, but here u have to avoid FOODS till your gut is healed ,,, so it might be ,,, weeks to months ...

Finally ,, follow the strict diet ,,and ,, follow Antibiotic course along with probiotics and glutamine  ...

Hi, sorry for the very late reply but it is hard to keep track of all the questions here. I kept on a diet ( avoiding known bad foods) during the treatment until i felt an very big improvement. When I got to a point i felt confident, then i started testing with foods slowly to see how i was going.

explain "known bad foods" ar eu talking about foods specifically that bother u, or did u follow a specific diet, like gaps diet, fodmap diet, paleo etc. etc. or did u just not eat foods that would irritate u, a personal diet per se
